The wanch is a fantastic place to go for great food and live music! With the new location open with lunch specials and dinner, we visited multiple times on our week stay in wan chai. We stayed at the renaissance harbour view hotel and the wanch was only a 5 minute walk. The atmosphere is welcoming and a larger space than their previous location. Great set up for bands to play. The owners and staff are always so welcoming and nice. I can’t say enough good things about this place! It is a must visit if you are in the area. We can’t wait to come back here again.

…which is not something you can expect to find much outside the UK, even here in Hong Kong. My mate swears by this place as it’s across the road from his work and last night was probably the first time I had been here in about five years. We were only here for a few drinks but enjoyed chatting with the funny and engaging staff and I appreciated how much like an old school UK pub it really is here. Lots of screens to watch sport too so whether it’s football, rugby of any code, F1, tennis, AFL, cricket or whatever else is on, they’ll probably show it.

went to this place for happy hour on a tuesday, it was surprisingly busy with cheap drinks until 9, lots of entertainment with beer pong, slap cup. I ended up unexpectedly leaving at around midnight. I came back the following week and the staff recognised me which is always a positive. Great fun place in causeway bay! Recommended!
Their bar snacks food was also amazing, their burgers especially!

The main thing to note is that, although they list all Australian football matches on their website, they won't actually be able to show them unless they're on Australia Plus or Channel 9 (I think Eastside Tavern does the same thing). Apart from not seeing the game, I was there on a Saturday afternoon with no one but a prostitute (who was quite friendly). Happy hour prices did not seem great and nearby bars were much busier.

The atmosphere of the place and decor is quite good and good bar games. Food is reasonable and some hidden charges can be forgiven (snack is not complimentary but charged per 2 people). However, staff need training in dealing with western customers to avoid needless confusion and anguish. Left the place unhappy, never to return.
