- pyt795Milan, Italy21 contributionsHave been to Nanshan ski resort the first time on December 27, the second time on December 31st. The first time it was not possible to get to the top of the "mountain" (hill) because the black slope had not been prepared yet, so skiing the whole day on the beginners slope was a little bit boring. Instead, the second time, one of the 2 black slopes starting from the top of the mountain was open and it was a great experience. Just regret not to be there in middle of January when the other black slope "extreme snow channel" is planned to open, as judging from above it should be very steep and challenging. One more reason to go there again in the future. In total the ski resort has 3 chairlifts, all of them are 4 seats fixed-grip type with no cover. The only defect is that the foot stand is made for chinese skiers, which means that if you are taller than 1,8 meter then it's very difficult to put your skis on it, leaving them leaning down all the time. I also enjoyed the moguls areas, they have easy, medium, difficult one (this last one is just the standard black slope starting from the top of the mountain). Rental procedure is OK, you have to pay 400 rmb as a deposit, the once you rent something the related cost will be deduct from this deposit so you don't need to handle cash all the time. Food is OK and organization is OK. Parking fee is 5 rmb but if you are lucky sometimes is free (don't know why). Have a nice day!Written 26 January 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- KodoDrummerBuenos Aires, Argentina70,604 contributionsGood place for people wishing to learn skiing. Runs are not to challenging, and thus not for the skiing enthusiast. No snow on our November visit.Written 16 November 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Martini RSingapore, Singapore1 contributionWe went there with young kids. The name of the resort would fool one into believing that it is going to be welcoming to foreigners. There is not a single English-speaking officer behind the counter and no signs are in English.
The instructors ONLY speak chinese so that was not helpful for my daughter. We were fortunate to have travelled with Chinese-speaking friends whose children helped translate the instructions for my daughter. The instructors even told my daughter to learn some Chinese! Ironic given that they are the ones providing instruction in an International ski resort.
Bring your own supply of hot water cos the restaurant is not willing to sell hot water even for me to make formula for my baby.Written 2 January 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Not that crowded, not highly difficult landscape so you may enjoy skiing safe and sound.Written 4 January 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - BarkShadeauMontreal, Canada348 contributionsThe ski hill is nothing like we can have in Europe nor north america BUT for china near beijing it was good. Don't expect to find crazy runs and such but it is fun to ski / snowboard over there.
To be perfectly honest after half a day of skiing we had enought and headed over to the bar to enjoy a hot chocolate / beer. It was fun for a while but the runs are so easy that you end up not skiing but going in a straight line all the way down the run every single time...
For a family with small children it is a good place to learn and have a good time.Written 2 December 2015This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. All you need to take is money - they have food, equipment, clothes (incl.gloves) and coaches.Written 7 May 2014This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Vixter247Beijing, China115 contributionsThis is a quieter ski resort, probably because the facilities are not as good as Nanshan. There are enough slopes for a beginner and improver to enjoy and no lines for the lifts but on the downside no really decent food facilities, so probably take your own. Given the choice I'd go to Nanshan from Beijing and not here as its about the same distance out of town.Written 9 May 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - MaayaaBeijing, China80 contributionsTraveling From Beijing It Takes Around 2.30Hrs. Take Bus 🚌 980 Rapido Bus And Get Down At MiYun BinHe Daqiao Station And From Same Bus Stop you Will Get Bus No 8, Which Will Drop You At Yunfoshan Huexuechang Bus Station And Then You Need To Walk Further Straight For Around 30 Minutes To Get To The Ski Resort.

the negatives are many:
- weekend ticket for 228 via reservation includes round trip bus, and snowboard+boots includes ONLY a 6 hour ticket. that means upon 9am arrival and 4pm departure you're left with an hour with nothing to do. accidentally stay a few more minutes? you'll be charged with a full price 2 hour ticket. nanshan nor huabei do this idiotic thing and include Full Day in their offering. then again the advanced run gets boring after half a dozen times.
- lifts are unbearably slow and poorly arranged. there's a 4 seater for the advanced run, but only a 2 seater for intermediate runs. this might be good for some level management, but on busy days the restless beginners start clogging the advanced runs anyway.
- no variety. there's a narrow freeride park but it's not maintained and dangerous. from what was told by a guard, the management doesn't care to as their core clients aren't that type.
- food prices are higher than nanshan and huaibei. in the latter i feel it's acceptable and still worth it. for yuyang i feel gouging.
- staff is a mixed bag, but can't compare to nanshan's professionalism or huabei's effort. noticed lifts weren't manned at times...
- snowboards have got to be the worst i've ever seen. steel bindings and heavy. maybe from when they opened in 2005?
final say: come for a short time if you have your own gear when the people are very few and when you've brought an mp3 player for the lifts.Written 4 February 2014This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
