I have been looking forward to seeing opera for many years and finally got the opportunity. Before the show my tour guide explained the plots of the stories which helped me understand the show better, even though there were subtitles. Fascinating part is the way the actors combine the singing, acting and acrobatics to perfection. Special detail are they high platform shoes in which they perform gracefully.
I got picked up from my hotel in a comfortable caravan, quite spacious and fancy, if I may say so, and greeted by my super kind tour guide. She dropped me off to the theatre, all the way to my seat which was just in front of the stage, introduced the history of opera and clicked pictures. Need to mention there were Chinese sweets and jasmine tea served so I had the experience of drinking tea the chinese way.
Oh, yes, and the nice touch- I got a present, a little opera doll souvenir and a magnet as a perfect end of a nice evening.
