- Val PentonyLeicester, UK11 contributionsFrom the moment I arrived in Bejing I was sent a text informing me of my hotel pick up time , 7.40, and the mini bus arrived exactly as planned, the superb host was Helen who was super informative from the start. The day started at the square, and then moved on to the forbidden city , both were fantastic and With Helens informative commetary about what we were looking at, made me feel like an expert of the history of the region at the conclusion. We then hopped back on the mini bus to the Great wall,with a luch break in between. The luch was a buffet which was delicious, and cost about a tenner each, with soft drink as well, the wall it's self was amazing, I'd recommend the chair lift , and I don't do heights, but your never far from the ground and the views are amazing ( despite the blizzard), that was about 15 pounds each, 6 mins each way, so worth it, we spent about 1.5 hours at the wall before wee journied back to our hotel. She took us to actual restaurants (which we would never have found on our own) and selected local dishes made by hand. There was more than enough food for the entire group. All the dishes were thoughtfully picked out and we had a mix of both familiar and very interesting dishes. Regardless of what we were eating, it was all delicious and from very local places. - Cherry P5 contributionsI had an amazing experience on this tour visiting the Forbidden City, Tiananmen Square, Temple of Heaven, and Summer Palace in Beijing. The itinerary was well-planned, covering all the key historical and cultural sites.
Our guide, Maggie, was fantastic—knowledgeable, friendly, and always willing to answer questions. She provided great insights into the history and significance of each site, making the tour both educational and enjoyable.
Everything was well-organized, and transportation was smooth. I highly recommend this tour for anyone wanting to explore Beijing’s most iconic landmarks with a great guide. We got picked up from our hotel in the morning, and got to see the main sites around Beijing in one easy tour. The cultural attractions were stunning, and the food was incredible. We will definitely be calling Helen next time we’re in Beijing and need a professional to help us get the most out of our time. Always attentive, showing us the best spot for pictures (and taking great pictures!), skipping us from the queues and even taking us to a 4 star toilet! Learning about the Forbiden City and the history of the country and city was a great program for Beijing. Angela answered all our questions with lots of patience and explanation. The experience was great even before it started, because Catherine contacted me to assure I knew everything and giving all details.
