We truly made the most of our day. Thanks to our guide Maggie, we were able to learn, take photos and enjoy the day without stress. From starting at the Forbidden City (seeing Tian’anmen square from afar), then making our way to the Summer Palace, followed by an on the spot addition of a tea experience (free, delicious, only pay for what you buy), some lunch at a great local restaurant (all ordered by Maggie and included), and ending the official part of the tour with the Temple of Heaven (at sunset 😍). To top it all off, Maggie managed to arrange last minute tickets to an acrobatics show which was great - very talented performers. She made sure we arrived on time, got to our seats and had a ride home (lovely driver all day). Thank you Maggie for your kindness, efforts to go above and beyond, and for helping us learn more about each spot and other cultural points.
