- Regina Fuga.te🎈Mossel Bay, South Africa2,662 contributionsWe were meandering the Shichahai district and accidentally came upon this historic post office with lovely sculptures.
Inside there is a pictorial museum.
We actually sent 10 post cards to the US, and only 8 arrived almost two months later. I treasure the one we sent ourselves 💕Written 4 November 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. This a neighbourhood where the Main Street is a narrow alley that gives its name to an old part of the Beijing city centre with traditional architecture both new and old. The neighborhood contains many typical narrow streets known as hutong. We visited many stores operating there, ate snacks and bought souvenirs and snacks from quite a few of these stores. It is a good place to pick up souvenirs and snack to share with family dnd friends.Written 27 December 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - KodoDrummerBuenos Aires, Argentina70,639 contributionsThis is a complex of retail mall and office towers to serve this rapidly growing international satellite city of Beijing. Similar to some other Wanda Plazas I have been to, the outer appearance has a unique visual impact. Inside, it is space-age magnificent, and houses the typical Wanda mall tenants, including many restaurants.Written 19 May 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - 4grlsmomPewaukee, WI324 contributionsThe silk market was much more empty than pre-covid, and without many of the things that I was looking for. I did buy a suitcase, supposedly with a 3-year warranty, which popped open on the trip home - only the TSA approved lock kept the contents from spilling out after the zipper split. I also purchased a few toys. I should have looked more closely - the lego was fake Ninjago. The pearl market was much better for quality and quantity of offerings.Written 7 June 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Ol M1 contributionAnna's optical on CC157 was excellent.
Anna is really professional and knowledgeable and after 3 years of eye tests in China and constantly changing prescription every 6 months Anna was able to assess the issue and get me the prescription I needed.
Her glasses are incredibly reasonably priced, she's super helpful and will give great feedback about what suits and best fit, and she's very responsive on messaging for how to get to the shop and aftercare. Cannot recommend her enough.
I came specifically from Ningbo to Beijing to see her and am so glad I did - will be going to her again in future and recommending to everyone I know. Thank you Anna!Written 25 December 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. When I went to Maliandao Tea Market with a private guide I was surprised at the numerous stalls/sellers l. There were hardly any tourists or local shoppers. We decided to go into one at random and the owner greeted us. From there we asked what the specialties were. She asked what we were interested in. We ended up having a tea tasting of flavors suggested by her. After some price negotiating my friend and I walked away with 3 types.
It helps to be fluent in Mandarin or have someone with you who does. Otherwise it wouldn’t be worth your while to go unless you don’t intend to bargain.Written 21 January 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Its not listed on google for some reason. Also a uniqlo there. I saw the reviews for the outlet which is further away from my hotel n decided to check it out. Was disappointed. First of all its not an outlet. There were no discounts at all! Its a big branch. So was the one next to my hotel. There was not much difference n they had the same stock. Same prices. Go to the branch closest to u dont waste your time coming here especially as the traffic in beijing is horrendous! N there are no discounts. I dont think they understand the word outlet in china.Written 24 April 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Mr. PresidentBeijing, China3,766 contributionsA friend gave me a gift card for a scroll. I had AJ help me design one because I was going to bring it back to America with me for my friend. The quality was excellent. (Regret I didn’t take a picture of it before I gave it to my friend.) They loved it and it was a really special gift for them. Highly recommended. If you want something that is worthy of taking back home then go here. It’s much better than buying the cheap stuff at some of the markets here. Great projects and great service! Worth a trip to the other side of the city.Written 17 January 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- MinniehoHong Kong, null, Hong Kong353 contributionsIt becomes more beautiful now, clean, tidy and quiet for reading books. Not so many visitors, you may walk around to pick and read easily, enough space, just a bit too formal comparing with other book stores, like a library and last but not least, don’t miss the food court in underground floor, plenty choices of good food with nice service at reasonable price.Written 17 September 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - TAMAN1951Liberty Lake, WA8,922 contributionsNot a big tea fan personally but the wife is.
I found the demonstration to be quite informative. I actually enjoyed 2 of the four samplings.
We bought some too and I thought it was a bit pricy.
Wife was pleased so I guess it was OK.
Cute little cups as well.Written 20 October 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Signs are in Chinese and English. There are books in English but only a few shelves. The “foreign” books on the sign mean books originally published abroad and then translated into Chinese. I was still able to find one of my favorite picture books!Written 12 February 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - iristalettaBeijing, China1,459 contributionsJust love this shop as they had 5 floors or different adidas branches all under the same roof. My favorite was the originals that would always have the latest fashion in the sneakers front. However the adventure is over and this Sanlitun shop has closed down as of March 2018.Written 5 April 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Rismaneswati28Jakarta, Indonesia94 contributionsIf you're a muslim and wants to buy halal snacks or food, then this the place. Very near to niu jie mosque.
Everything in this supermarket is halal. Wanna try chinese cake/snacks but not sure whether its halal or not? Wanna buy local chinese halal snacks for people back home? Then worry no more. This is the place to go. Especially if you have kids and they're always craving for snacks or ice creams. Lol. Just go to this place. Most prices are cheaper than other stores too.Written 30 July 2016This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
