This was brilliant. Charles was an amazing guide. Super knowledgeable, patient and friendly. I felt very safe as a solo female traveller (FYI if you book for one person you can expect to be combined with a group). Totally worth it and a fantastic day.

This trip was all and more than one can ask for. Our driver, Edwin, was right on time with our pick up at 6am. Actually at 6:10 as he had others in the van during our pick up. He picked up others on our way to the park.

Provided excellent instructions on what was needed to register for Park tickets ahead of time.

He provided great explanations on what would happen during our trip and required all of us to work as a team in spotting the animals. We did just that.

Although we didn't see the Big 5, we saw 3 of the 5. Plus a bunch more. I can't complain. Some animals don't want to be seen.

I recommend this group for your

Our Masai Mara safari was really a great experience, we met our guide Sammy in Nairobi and got settled into our Land Cruiser really fast! We stayed at rhino camp which was good and food was great. Sammy was very knowledgeable and tried his best to find us all the animals and get us as close as we could. I would go with them again. Highly recommend!

My colleague and I were in town for work and decided to do a last minute safari to Amboseli. And by last minute, I mean we literally booked with less than 24hrs notice. Despite booking late, our guide showed up promptly at 5am as planned. The drive to Amboseli can feel a bit long, but the guide stopped for a break about 90min away from the park where you can grab food, water, etc and pay by credit card.

The tour of the park was wonderful: We saw giraffes, tons of elephants, three different kinds of antelope, warthogs, countless species of birds, zebras, baboons, and monkeys. We didn't catch any lions or cheetahs on our trip, but my understanding is that Massai Mara is where you have a greater chance of seeing lions.

We also stopped at a Massai village on the way home. Our guide offered it to us as an add-on. It cost 3000 KES per person and the funds go to support the surrounding tribes in building schools for children. I've done these sorts of tours in the past which can feel a bit awkward as "poverty porn", but this was done in a tasteful way where they were genuinely showing you why these folks choose to live according to their traditions. The village elder and his son were our guides and they both spoke perfect English having studied in Nairobi before returning to their village.

And I must end with a special shoutout to Rama, our amazing guide for the day, who not only provided excellent service that showcased his incredible knowledge about the park and the animals, but who also saved the day by finding my wallet in the van and personally returning it to my hotel the next morning with everything in it. I can't thank Rama and Perfect Safaris enough for a wonderful last minute adventure!

We did a day trip to Amboseli from Nairobi. Peter was so knowledgeable and was able to spot animals from far away. We saw sooo many beautiful animals (elephants, hippos, zebras, giraffes, etc). The roof came off the top so we could stand for better view point!

The only bit of information that would have been nice to know in advance is that you have to book your park tickets online. We tried to do it from the gates, but we did not have reception, and therefore could not enter our security passcode from the bank it (since they have to text you a one time passcode). It would have been great to purchase the tickets in advance, knowing they don’t except cash or card at the gates.

The drive is long and the drivers are pretty wild LOL but I would highly recommend this tour!

Our overall experience was great, the tour was well organized, however departure was one hour later than booked/expected (probably due to other bookings). Our tour guide enlightened us on all the species we observed (rhino, hippos, crocodiles, giraffes, zebras, different species of birds, buffalo) and the nature surrounding us. It was not the guide’s fault but we were a little disappointed not to find any big cats (hyenas, lions, cheetah, leopards). The luck was not on our sight that day (normally different cars have radio communication to inform each other of sighting). We also made a quick toilet stop with beautiful view and spotted monkeys with their babes. After the safari we expected to visit a coffee but instead went to a local women-led beading factory and store which we happily supported by buying some local products. Thank you again for a beautiful memory from Nairobi National Park.

My tour guide Peter was fantastic from hotel pickup until drop-off. Extremely receptive to my requests for vehicle air conditioning, numerous photo opportunities along the way, and a friendly pitstop at the souvenir shop at the end of the tour. I highly recommend this group travelers to Kenya.

My husband and I decided to take this tour as a last minute addition for our one day stay in Nairobi and we do not regret it.

We were picked up from our hotel (which was convenient) and taken to the Giraffe Center where we not only fed these amazing animals, but learned about the conservation effort it took to raise their numbers from 130 to 1000.

We were then taken to the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust where we saw a baby rhino and many baby elephants who will someday be sent into the wild when ready.

These two experiences have been on my bucket list for years and we were taken to the best spots so we could experience both in the best way possible.

I have to mention that the tour company was easily contactable when we needed help filling in an online form to visit the Nairobi National Park. Great communication is a must for a good tour company, and our host, who was very knowledgeable in all things animals, made the entire day go fast.

We enjoyed ourselves and we are sure that anyone who wants to try out this tour, will enjoy themselves as well.

Never been to Africa? No worries! You are in great hands with this tour company!! This was a trip of a lifetime! Explorer’s Wild Adventures delivered in every possible way. David was our guide and from the moment he picked us up at our hotel the adventure began. One of the very first things he told us was to feel free to ask him about anything- culture, people, politics, education, history- in addition to any questions we might have about the places we would visit and the animals we would see. He was incredibly knowledgeable and we learned so much about Kenya- in addition to detailed information on every animal, bird and plant we encountered on the tour. We selected to take the private option- which was well worth the money as we were able to move freely around the Landcruiser and see animals on both sides of the vehicle. We were also able to make requests, which David happily complied with, during our tour. Each accommodation was more beautiful than the one before it. I’ve watched safari shows on tv (Safari Brothers on Nat Geo) and our experience with David beat every episode! We saw every animal except the leopard and the elusive black rhino at distances of less than 10-15 feet. We had to put the binoculars down because we were too close to need them!! The only thing that we would do differently is NOT book the Lake boat ride- it was $50.00 (USD) per person and the boat was barely more than a very old, wide canoe. It ended up being about 15-20 minutes on the lake and then a walk where we saw animals that we had already seen due to David’s expertise. That excursion should be no more than $20.00 (USD) pp AT MOST. It was the only disappointment of our trip. We recommend this tour company and our guide, David, to everyone! Our children are already looking into booking their own trips!!

What an experience, well worth the money for the experience to be up close with these animals. Albert the guide was No 1 and really looked after us, Jeep was perfect and the accommodation was just what was needed, but you will be tired after a day on the safari.

Moses was an amazing tour guide! I haven’t seen someone that passionate about their own city history as he is. He showed us interesting sight seeing points and on top of that was a great company throughout the tour. We loved his storytelling and would highly recommend this tour!

Had a wonderful time on this safari. It was well organized and we covered a lot of ground in three days, seeing incredible sights on our game drives and in our visit to a Masai village. Our guide, Geeman, was knowledgeable, fun, and very helpful! Everything was taken care of for us. All in all, a great experience!
