Honestly one of the best trips I've ever taken (and I travel A LOT)
From the communication before the trip to the actual trip itself. They were so helpful. Domitilla, our guide, was amazing. We had issues with getting our E-citizen access to pay for the national park and she sorted it on the day, enroute to the elephant sanctuary!! What service!! She is a fantastic guide, very knowledgeable, very funny, kind, calm and collected, an absolute asset to the company!! Our driver was great too, very polite and handled the crazy traffic wonderfully. Elephant Orphanage was a beautiful if bittersweet experience as so many of the babies are there because of human beings. But it was wonderful to see them so close!
The bead factory was also really great! The women are warm and welcoming and so incredibly talented. We really liked that we were not pressured at all to buy anything (although we did!)
The Giraffe centre, amazing to feed the cheeky animals, really great. Guides there were also very knowledgeable.
Would highly recommend this tour, you won't regret it.

Tony Cruize was good offering explanations along the way. He was constantly smiling and laughing which gave off a great Hakuna Matata. Thank you

Amboseli is probably the most beautiful national park in Africa. Where else can you go where Mt. Kilimanjaro serves as a constant background to your tour? It was a little like being in a Monet painting. On our visit to Kenya, we went to 4 national parks but Amboseli gives you the most majestic views of elephants and elephant herds but unlike other National parks, the setting really takes the center-stage here. Vast tracts of savanna and dried lake beds along with marshlands, make Amboseli the most varied national park in Kenya.

After spending several hours at the park, we headed for lunch at the Ol Tukai lodge. Now before we go forward, I want to say that we spent our visit in Kenya at an up-scale 4 star hotel in Nairobi where we had a grand breakfast buffet every day. I wanted to mention that because in order to convey the true magnificence of the lunch buffet at the Ol Tukai lodge, I would have to say that the excellent breakfast buffet we had daily was to shame by it. Gammon, mutton shanks so buttery soft that they were melting off the bone, half a dozen different variations of cake and more! Lunch, of course also comes with an excellent view of Mt. Kilimanjaro.

Lastly, I would like to mention Samuel, our guide. He was always ready to answer our questions no matter how silly it was - I mean he even answered "why are there people selling vegetables on the road?", an actual dumb question I asked. He would give us plenty of time to get our photos and videos and know a lot about the plants, animals and birds - to the point that he even had a couple of ornithological guide books for when he would come across a bird whose name he couldn't immediately remember. He also had a massive store of drinking water - a very important commodity on these safaris. In fact this was the only safari that had drinking water available in the car. The car we had been given was a tourist van with reclinable seats - which allowed us to take a nap whenever we wanted (after the huge lunch, you will need a nap). Perfect Safaris says that the safari takes 8-9 hours but we easily went 90mins over it and Samuel was fine with it.

All that said, there are two reasons what made Samuel an excellent guide. Firstly, the tour started at 5am - we actually set off at 4:54am. However, this meant that he had to be on his way from his home at 4am. The tour ended at 11pm (for a reason, I will reveal shortly) and he arrived back at his home at around midnight. This meant that Samuel spent nearly 20 hours with us. At no point, did he ever stop smiling or stop giving us the best experience he could offer us. Secondly, the tour ended so late because of a massive traffic jam on Mombasa Road - which is a road meant to carry freight trucks from the interior of Kenya as well as from Rwanda and Uganda to Mombasa port. For some inexplicable reason this road has a grand two lanes - one for incoming and one for outgoing traffic. Obviously, this ended up causing a massive traffic jam - at one point we moved probably 10kms over 3 hours - which sounds bad but it would have taken maybe two or three times that amount of time without Samuel's excellent driving and crafty maneuvering of traffic. We had a final safari the next day, and instead of going on that we would probably have been in bed without Samuel.

The trip was amazing. The tour guide took us on a cycling trip to the stunning hells gate. He is knowledgable about the plants, rock formations, and animals. We also went into the gorge, which was beautiful. The day ended with a very relaxing boat ride on lake naivasha. The driver and guide created a very nice, friendly, and safe vibe.

Booking this tour was very easy. The tour company got back to my questions very fast.

Our Masai Mara safari was really a great experience, we met our guide Sammy in Nairobi and got settled into our Land Cruiser really fast! We stayed at rhino camp which was good and food was great. Sammy was very knowledgeable and tried his best to find us all the animals and get us as close as we could. I would go with them again. Highly recommend!

I had an incredible day with my guide (Peter) on the day trip to Amboseli. I chose this option because I only had 2 short days in Kenya and wanted to see the renowned elephant herds and the Mt Kilimanjaro backdrop. It was an early start (5am), but Peter navigated the hectic traffic like a pro while I was able to sleep for a good part of the 4 hour drive. Thanks to Peter’s sharp eyes, I was able to see dozens of elephants (the stars of the park) wildebeests, ostriches, hippos, crowned cranes, gazelles, secretary birds, flamingos, water buffalos, and many more. Lunch was at an amazing lodge within the park (Ol Tukai), where I was able to eat and drink a Tusker beer while watching a huge elephant in the distance. After an awesome time at Amboseli, Peter was able to get me back to Nairobi by 730pm, in time to make my late-night flight back to the U.S. If you are short on time, book this trip—you won’t regret it—especially with Valley Rocks’s extremely reasonable rate.

My husband and I decided to take this tour as a last minute addition for our one day stay in Nairobi and we do not regret it.

We were picked up from our hotel (which was convenient) and taken to the Giraffe Center where we not only fed these amazing animals, but learned about the conservation effort it took to raise their numbers from 130 to 1000.

We were then taken to the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust where we saw a baby rhino and many baby elephants who will someday be sent into the wild when ready.

These two experiences have been on my bucket list for years and we were taken to the best spots so we could experience both in the best way possible.

I have to mention that the tour company was easily contactable when we needed help filling in an online form to visit the Nairobi National Park. Great communication is a must for a good tour company, and our host, who was very knowledgeable in all things animals, made the entire day go fast.

We enjoyed ourselves and we are sure that anyone who wants to try out this tour, will enjoy themselves as well.

This was a great tour of Nairobi, very interesting and eye opening. Our tour guide Tim was very knowledgeable in many areas and was able to answer our many questions, he made the experience a great one. The views at the top of the KICC tower where amazing! Tim also gave us a great tip for a place to eat some local food, and that's where we had our lunch.

Albert was an excellent driver and knew so much about the game reserve.
The accommodation was excellent and the food throughout the 3 days was excellent.
