What travellers are saying
- DparodyGibraltar345 contributionsI don't think can forgive yourself if you went to Luxor and did not do this. The basic ticket gives you access to three tombs. King Tutankamen requires a separate ticket for EÂŁ700 which you can get at the ticket office or on the little ticket dispenser at the cafe inside the compound.Written 22 November 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - globetraveller123Liverpool, UK71 contributionsBrilliant half day. Well recommended but please do it before you take the light show evening as it gives you a good experience of what it looks like in daylight.

- juliaandadam123Ashford, UK1,955 contributionsHistory comes alive at the Valley of the Kings. It’s worth paying the extra to visit Tut’s tomb as it brings alive all the stories you will have heard throughout your life time.
We visited with a private guide and he seemed to time it well (from reading other reviews) as we had the tomb to ourselves.Written 29 August 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. We started the walk at Karnak and walked to Luxor temple, the Karnak ticket allows you to walk to a half way point. If you want to continue to Luxor there is a ticket office where you can purchase a further ticket.
It is an amazing feat to have uncovered the avenue but it could be so much better. Signage at Karnak is non existent, we had to Google Earth the temple to find the start point. The middle section is strewn with plastic rubbish when the walk could be made to be so much more attractive.Written 15 November 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The owner, Mohammed, was incredibly patient and took the time to share the fascinating stories behind every item I asked about. If I find myself in Egypt again, I’ll definitely be returning!Written 11 November 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Graham W1 contributionFour great things about this place: a great range of products from beautiful scarves to nick-nacks. Polite and hassle-free service. Suppliers are usually local people, especially; so fair trade. Fixed prices. - Amber T1 contributionWhat a great shop! I would encourage anyone to go in that wants one of a kind keepsakes for their friends, family, and home. When I look back to the many places I visited in Egypt, I realize this shop has distinguished and quality items well worth the price compared to everywhere else. The staff was amazing at packaging my items so it could reach my destination safely. Thank you to the staff for helping me hand select these very beautiful pieces as they ended up being the very best things I bought in Egypt! I will return again.Written 29 November 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Eddie K7 contributionsJust before our flight to Luxor, we realised Uber didn't work as it did in Cairo. Upon arriving in Luxor on a delayed late flight from Cairo, I made quick search on Google, and I was blessed with Ayman’s mobile number. Even though contacted at short notice late at night past midnight, he was able to come and pick us up. I can really recommend Ayman for your trip in the Luxor area. We used his services for the 3 days we were in Luxor. He is professional, reliable and punctual. His English is very good, he is knowledgeable about the sites in Luxor (and further in Egypt) and gives very good advice.
This is Ayman’s number (+20 1020491202), he always replies on WhatsApp.
