- Jo_JoAberdeen, UK587 contributionsI took 7x separate private day tours in Cairo, Aswan and Luxor, with Emo Tours. They were very responsive to what's app messages in the planning stage. I initially had to cancel and they issued me a full refund. Following this positive experience, I rebooked with them at a later date. Everything ran smoothly and each tour went ahead as planned. On one day the driver was late, but I sent a message via what's app and got an immediate response with an update on where the driver was and when to expect him. I didn't include lunches and this was not a problem, and when I said I didn't want to visit shops or factories, the guides were fine with this and there was no pressure. I was planning a truly whirlwind tour around Egypt's top sights and asked Go Luxor Tours for their assistance. They were super fast with their response and we quickly agreed on the itinerary and the price. Once I arrived to Egypt, the whole (quite complex) plan was executed super smoothly. Mike was my guide and I truly enjoyed his company - he was fun, knowledgable and engaging. - juliedbrunomiami17 contributionsThe Eyaru is a magical and harmonious experience that entices all of your senses. The boat is beautifully crafted and spacious. The decor and the staff evoke serenity and tranquility so you're left with the ability to truly be in the moment as you sail gloriously down the Nile river in a one of a kind experience that cannot be replicated. The crew are attentive, accommodating and gracious. The amenities easily fit our 16 person party with ease, never did I feel I was living in tight quarters. The layout of the boat is well thought out with two living spaces, one inside and one outside. The meals were like going to a five star restaurant for every meal with an afternoon tea each day. The experience is so amazing you almost don't want to get off the boat to your excursions. Travelling above the Valley of the Kings, sugar cane fields and rooftops was breathtaking. The crew who picked us up at 4am to cross the Nile river on a boat, who took us via van to the launch site and the pilot (Tarek) and further ground crew were very professional. I felt extremely safe the whole experience even as we landed in someone's backyard! However, we were still on the ground during sunrise and this led to our flight only being 20 minutes long instead of the 45 minutes advertised. Our balloon also flew a lot lower to the ground in comparison to other balloons which was disappointing for someone who likes adrenaline. - Scott RSunnyvale, CA88 contributionsAs a part of our 9-day Egypt tour, we were able to enjoy a Sunrise Hot Air Ballon Ride in Luxor. We woke up early and arrived before dawn. There are a number of different ballons going up!
Our guide, Amro, and our ballon pilot took care of us. We felt safe and our pilot was amazing at maneuvering the ballon for great photos and landing.

- Paula O'Toole4 contributionsI have been to Egypt many times and this trip Ahmed (Saffy) and Lesley Hammam is the very best of all my trips to date. This couple is a powerhouse of knowledge, experience, enthusiasm and fun. We were a small group of people who had not met before and are now friends with each other and our wonderful guides. Before we ever left home we had input into the itinerary, customising it to include all the highlights for those who had never visited the country before and going off the tourist trail to travel across the desert, stay in an oasis town, visit the ancient sites of Abydos & Amarna, lunch with the Bedouins and swim in a desert lake. All this plus the Pyramids of Giza, Saqqara and Daschur, the Valleys of the Kings, Queens & Nobles plus the Artists Village, the temples of Karnak, Luxor, Kom Ombo, Edfu and Esna, Philae and the magnificent Abu Simbel. We spent 5 glorious days on a Dahabayia sailing the Nile stopping off each day to explore local life, quarries, bird life & lots more. Sunset from a boat on the Nile should be experienced by all at least once! The administration on this tour was top class. Lesley & Saffy ensured we each had a wonderfully memorable holiday. I learned so much about ancient Egypt from them. I cannot even say trip of a lifetime. It was so good I am going back with them this year again.
