We visited Luxor Temple after Karnak as they are not to far apart. Luxor Temple had easy access to the Ave. of the Sphinxs which was really neat to see. The temple was in pretty good shape and amazing to see. Can see Egyptian influence and also there is some Chrisitan paintings and carvings in there

2020 was my second visit to Luxor and the rest of Egypt and on this particular visit i was able to see this mosque up close. Sitting on top of Luxor Temple. it was built at a time when Luxor Temple was full of debris. Perched on the ancient, this mosque stands out. The difference in colors make this happen easily. I was able to view the mosque from all sides. As with all mosques, shoes must be removed and the interior is generally quiet.

The place is located about 5 mins or so drive from the valley of the Kings. It houses a zareeh and a masjid.

The local guides and others believe that this is the place where Sayedda Zainab stayed at. Sayedda Zainab was the grand daughter of Prophet Mohammed, daugher of Ali and Fatima, and sister of Hasan and Hussain. She is considered to have migrated to Egypt after Karbala.
