What travellers are saying
- Moana UPorirua, New Zealand99 contributionsWe loved the tour we received done by two young 15 year olds. They shared lots of history about the palace, King and Queen. We arrived at the time of the changing of the guard so that was interesting to watch them in traditional costume.Written 11 March 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Summer K2 contributionsThe view from the top of Seoul Tower was magnificent. I could stare at the landscape below and far out for a long time. I'd say it is worth coming here for sure.Written 27 January 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- 3DMatrixLondon, UK830 contributionsWe visited Cheonggyecheon Stream as part of our walking tour with Jessie at MySeoulTrip. The stream is picturesque and we found it perfect for walking and relaxing. It provided a much-needed reprieve from the intense humidity of the day as we sat by the water with our feet dipped in.
With its gentle, babbling flow, waterfalls, painted murals, and plenty of trees, Cheonggyecheon Stream is a peaceful urban retreat. There are stepping stones for crossing the stream, frequent stairways, and elevators at some entrances that make it easily accessible. Its tranquil atmosphere makes it perfect for unwinding—whether you’re alone with a book, catching up with friends, or taking a quiet stroll.
Cheonggyecheon Stream is a simple yet thoughtful space and a great example of urban renewal done right.Written 14 December 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - LolaGo1Washington DC, DC6,624 contributionsI visited this attraction after my DMZ Tour Bus dropped me off across from it. Note that seniors can enter this attraction for free, just show your proof of age.
There is a beautiful fountain at the center of the area. There are 3 buildings to visit here, my favorite one is the one that shows intricately embroidered panels. Took a lot of photos of the embroidered exhibits here.
The other 2 buildings have their own exhibits. Feeling tired of walking, I simply took their pictures from outside.Written 3 May 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Located in Lotte World tower, this is an observation area where you get 360 degree views of Seoul. We visited at night, and it was gorgeous, but I'm biased because night views are my favorite. You can shop inside the tower before or after this activity, and there is a cafe on the observation deck level as well where you can purchase snacks or ice cream. I think this is a good activity if you like this sort of thing.Written 28 December 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Christian MCopenhagen, Denmark6,223 contributionsReportedly, Seoul's richest people mainly live in Gangnam and the Greater Gangnam areas.
But there must also be some pretty wealthy people living in the Samcheongdong area, because when we walked through, I saw the biggest Mercedes and the biggest BMW I’ve ever come across (and I’ve been to Germany plenty of times).
The street here is lovely with low houses, clean sidewalks, and a plethora of galleries and cafes. Definitely worth a visit - maybe after the obligatory trip to the boring Gyeongbokgung Palace, which is just a few hundred meters away.Written 24 May 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The theatre is not huge and the show was not packed on the day we went (8pm Wednesday) so probably don’t need to get the vip tickets but still a good experience to be near the front.Written 8 December 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Chi LIrvine, CA198 contributionsWe booked a two day private tour with this company...1st day tour around Seoul visiting Gyeongnbokgung palace, jogyesa temple, bukchon hanok village, N Seoul Tower, Gwangjang market, and Insadong. 2nd day, we went further to Nami Island, Garden of Morning Calm, and rail bike tour.
The company was very helpful and developing an itiniery that fit my schedule with excellent recommendations. they kept in close contact and reminded me of the trip the day before.
Our guide was Christine...joined by her husband, Young, who was our driver in a very comfortable and clean SUV. The couple was excellent. I felt that they really cared about the trip and made sure that we enjoyed our time during our visit. Christine was very knowledgeable about South Korea and gave great insights into all the places that we visited. She was also very helpful in providing suggestions for local restaurants.
I would not hesitate to use Christine and Here Korea for my next trip to Korea...as they have the expertise to make the trip memorable.Written 2 December 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Thank you Chris so much for this experience, good mood and new skills! We really enjoyed the process and lunch. It was very delicious. Both of us were full of positive and inspiration after.
One more good thing is a great organization, we took pleasure from different cute details (tea, photos..). We highly recommend this class to all people, who would like to discover national Korean dishes!Written 12 June 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Last December 2024, we had a 5-day private tour with Miae to the following places including Unesco World Heritage sites and beautiful scenery:
1) Andong Hahoe historical village, Wolyeonggyo Bridge, Byeongsan Seowon Confucian School
2) Gyeongju historical sites, Donggung Palace and Wolji Pond
3) Deogyusan National Park
4)PyeongChang Ski Resort
5)Samyang Farm
6)Seoraksan National Park
7)Sokcho
8)Yangsan Tongdosa Temple
Given our tight schedule, Miae was excellent in pacing our tours to ensure we get to visit all the sites in her recommended itinerary. Miae also took beautiful photos of my family and brought us to the scenic spots. She also ensured we were okay during the hikes in the mountains.
Miae was very knowledgeable of the historic sites we visited.
Miae would also bring us to the excellent restaurants in the places where we went. We really missed her when we returned to Seoul.
We are looking forward to having our private tours with Top Korea again in our next visit.Written 12 January 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. She had many interesting insights and deep knowledge of both cities we visited. She was so accommodating to all our wishes and was able to reorganize the itinerary to our liking on the fly and even surprised us with some recommendations that ended up being highlights of the trip. My wife and I are big foodies and she brought us to some of the best places! Including helping us buy live crab and red snapper at the seafood market and getting her friends to cook it for us upstairs. Highly recommend you use her driver as well, made getting around a breeze. She’s also a blast to hang out with, we shared many laughs and soju bombs together 🎉.Written 6 March 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - KellieMcKBelmont, CA288 contributionsOne Day Korea tours is extremely responsive and accommodating. I was traveling with a friend and I am in a wheelchair. Mrs. Yan went to great lengths to support my unique needs. She spent a great deal of time with me on email discussing private tour options and we arranged a very nice tour for the 2 of us for 2 days.
Unfortunately in the end, I decided to cancel the tour due to the coronavirus explosion in Korea. Due to my illness, I cannot take the risk. Yan was very understanding and refunded me in full immediately.
When I first started planning my sightseeing trip to Seoul, I contacted 3 of the top rated tour agencies on TripAdvisor. One Day Korea responded right away. A second agency responded a few days later. The third agency never responded.
Yan responded to all of my correspondence quickly and thoroughly. She was very accommodating in all respects.
If I ever have the opportunity to sightsee in Seoul again, I will definitely do it with One Day Korea.Written 25 February 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
