- fionaalfaBelfast, UK72 contributionsOutstanding place of beauty and great walks too. I was on a guided tour and the walk wasn’t too long (about 3 hours) and terrain varied but not too difficult - very achievable in a day. I was in a tour bus and defo would not want to take a car as roads and car parks all very busy. Nice range of cafes and good amenities too - queues tend to move quickly.Written 25 December 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - mel7155Singapore, Singapore1,358 contributionsWe read the reviews of foreigners who were just belly aching about how crowded and long lines you get at lotte world and how wonderful their Disneylands and Universal studios and whatnots are . Perhaps they should know that Asian, Korean and Japanese theme parks are always crowded but the crowds are very polite and patient as they are always considerate unlike those in their own countries .
That being said . Do your homework . There are express passes , there are apps to download to make your visit faster for you . Check the Lotte world websites , read how to get the passes and if you wish to save money, then it is on you. If you have to line up . Going to theme parks in Asia is about spending time with your friends and family members lining up and enjoying yourselves and not cattle rushing to one ride to another . If that is not for you , don’t visit Asian theme parks and stop comparing .Written 16 December 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Located in Lotte World tower, this is an observation area where you get 360 degree views of Seoul. We visited at night, and it was gorgeous, but I'm biased because night views are my favorite. You can shop inside the tower before or after this activity, and there is a cafe on the observation deck level as well where you can purchase snacks or ice cream. I think this is a good activity if you like this sort of thing.Written 28 December 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - kpiddyBrisbane, Australia14,461 contributionsWithout thinking about it we decided to hike Inwangsan on a Saturday.
Saturdays may not be the best time to hike Inwangsan Mountain because of the streams of people making their way up to the peak, fortunately we started in the opposite direction to the majority of the crowds and had a great climb without the long queueing to get up the rocky peak. My internet research paid off following the recommendations to take Metro line 3 (orange line) to Gyeongbokgung Station, take Exit 3 and head to the bus stop on your right a few minutes down the road. Take either bus 1020, 7022 or 7212. Travel for 10-12 minutes to Jahamungogae stop, cross the road to find the start of the trail. The hike up the mountain was challenging at times but thoroughly enjoyable, it took us roughly forty minutes to reach the peak. From the peak the views were stunning looking over Seoul. We continued on along the path down the mountain, through the congressed sections of the narrow path/stairs, then weaving our way through the streets to Dongnimmun Station. A very satisfying morning hike. I look forward to returning to Inwangsan Mountain on our next visit to Seoul.Written 4 September 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Keith SMount Claremont, Australia405 contributionsI’m glad I didn’t listen to the more extreme reviews - on here and other sites (AllTrails- I’m looking at you!)- otherwise I probably wouldn’t have done it. Yes it is hard, especially the last bit, and if you have a fear of heights the last bit with its 360 degree views can be a little nerve racking, but there’s no clinging to a wire, dragging yourself up a narrow path whilst trying to avoid the 500m drop on the other side (well, not much of that anyway). The climb can be divided into 4- the east first third (think steps, pathways and easy paths - lulling you into a false sense of security), then the middle third - the paths disappear, there’s a bit of bouldering and holding on to railings; then the last third is divided into 2 - hard and the final 10 mins of very hard (pulling yourself up the aforementioned railings), and then- bang - you’re up top and it’s all worth it!Written 28 June 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. This mountain was one of beautiful one in Seoul. The distance to top from Gwacheon was about 2 hours, and had good mountain view. Always there was many people crowded, and the road was good with mountain atmosphere. There had many road to top, and the temple was near top. There was popular mountain to Seoul resident.Written 1 March 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Chi LIrvine, CA198 contributionsWe booked a two day private tour with this company...1st day tour around Seoul visiting Gyeongnbokgung palace, jogyesa temple, bukchon hanok village, N Seoul Tower, Gwangjang market, and Insadong. 2nd day, we went further to Nami Island, Garden of Morning Calm, and rail bike tour.
The company was very helpful and developing an itiniery that fit my schedule with excellent recommendations. they kept in close contact and reminded me of the trip the day before.
Our guide was Christine...joined by her husband, Young, who was our driver in a very comfortable and clean SUV. The couple was excellent. I felt that they really cared about the trip and made sure that we enjoyed our time during our visit. Christine was very knowledgeable about South Korea and gave great insights into all the places that we visited. She was also very helpful in providing suggestions for local restaurants.
I would not hesitate to use Christine and Here Korea for my next trip to Korea...as they have the expertise to make the trip memorable.Written 2 December 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. She took care of us impeccably, was open to our every suggestion, not limited to rigid plans. She is very knowledgeable about all the places, provides lots of information and always gave great advice on local cuisine. Thanks to her care, we have great memories of our trip to Korea. - Nik R4 contributionsMy wife and I had an excellent experience touring with Mr. Lee. He went out of his way to make this experience worthwhile, and can tailor the tour to your needs. I got to visit the observatories and the second tunnel during our tour, and the lunch at the barbeque restaurant was a highlight - especially since I'm vegetarian, yet I had plenty of food to eat, thanks to Mr. Lee pre arranging everything and treating me to their trademark bellflower dish. Thanks so much for an amazing, informational and memorable day away from the tourist rush. I really felt like I could sink my teeth into the history with him.Written 12 November 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
