Visiting the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) between North and South Korea was an incredible experience that I would highly recommend to anyone. The trip was well-organized, starting with a comfortable bus ride from Seoul to the DMZ.
One of the highlights was the viewpoint where we got a clear view of North Korea, including spotting North Korean soldiers on the other side of the border. The contrast between the tension of the DMZ and the stunning natural beauty of the surrounding area was truly striking.
After exploring the DMZ, we took part in a unique cooking class that added a fun and interactive twist to the day. We brewed our own coffee and learned how to make Gochujang, a traditional Korean chili paste, which we were able to take home—a perfect souvenir of this unforgettable experience.
The guides were fantastic—knowledgeable, engaging, and even funny, which made the complex history of the DMZ both informative and enjoyable to learn about.
Overall, this tour was a perfect blend of history, culture, and nature, leaving me with a deeper understanding of Korea’s history and some amazing memories to take home. Highly recommended!
