This is one of the must-see experiences in Seoul, if only because of its national significance. There can be major queuing to get in, so be prepared. A really nice feature is that if you hire traditional costumes to wear during your visit then you skip the entrance fee and at least some of the queue. Its a great idea, just imagine it applied somewhere like Versailles! maybe not for Auschwitz though. Seeing Korean people around in these wonderful costumes really adds to the experience of the site as it was back in history, and makes for great photographs. Everyone is an extra on the film set! There's live action in the form of a changing of the guard in period costumes too. Try to visit in good weather, you will spend most of your time outside rather than inside. My own visit, as part of a tour group, was shorter than I wanted it to be, I could have spent a whole afternoon here.

Fantastic views from Seoul and good entertainment for all ages. I used the cable car to go up, which is pricey, but also nice experience. Queus were huge.

This is a really cool spot. At first you notice the big statues, which are inspiring alone, then you see this huge square covered in flags from all over the world. Each flag is a testament to the specific countries that aided South Korea in the Korean War. As you move further along the memorial you can see dozens of real life war machines that were used during this conflict. Planes, tanks, and there’s even a ship you can walk through and explore. It’s a cool spot to see

Museum with 3 floors. Floor one is ancient and medieval Korea, which is really intriguing. The artefacts are centuries old. As you move up you can see various art pieces and sculptures from pivotal moments of Korean history. The top floor is dedicated to the rest of the world. I was really surprised at how many artefacts the museum has from places like Greece and Rome. The museum blew me away (and it’s free!!)
