- LolaGo1Washington DC, DC6,624 contributionsMy hotel is located around here so I walked around this Square during the duration of my stay. At the center of this Square is the Statue of Saint George. There is a lot of traffic here so pedestrians need to use the Underground Passages to go from one section to other areas of the Square.
There are government offices, restaurants, hotels, grocery stores, taxi stands, Group Tours, Money Exchanges, etc. here.Written 13 June 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. We went there with a 2 years old baby in a stroller.
I can't recommend doing such thing because the streets are steep and cobbld stoned. But again, the sight is great and when you eeach the top you can see betlemi church and also fire temple is on the roadWritten 6 February 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. There is a way to surround the gates but on own risks.
The fragrance of sulphur is slightly noticeable.Written 28 July 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The revolution was mainly peaceful and the Georgians are proud of it.
I did not find the square itself particularly attractive. There is the sculpture of a bike, which is very strange indeed. What I liked most there was the gorgeous view of large parts of Tbilisi that you have from the square.Written 17 March 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. See Wine Uphill or Rise, translated to English from Georgian. Take a gander at the Botanical Gardens, Gura River, and Metekh Church (no frescoes inside) and sit at one of the cafes for a glass of Georgian wine. Camera a must.Written 25 July 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
