This is a place kids, from the age of 5, and adults can have a great time. The noise of the kids enjoying themselves is loud, very loud. On one hot summer day, I took 2 of my grandchildren and investigated what climbing a wall means. First-it's quite expensive. 60NIS for each individual. This includes entrance and harness. Gym shoes cost extra. If the adult wishes to be an "anchor", then his equipment will cost 25NIS. More about "anchors" soon. First, the place is huge with all kinds of different walls to climb. From a complete vertical wall to a gradual slanted wall, tall walls and low walls and even climbing across the ceiling. I strongly suggest you arrive around opening time as the place fills up after lunch time (during the summer holidays, the place opens at 11.00 am.) If you arrive in the afternoon, you'll find the place full up with a sad probability that all the equipment will be hired out, leaving you with a bunch of very disappointed kids. Climbing a wall means you have to be harnessed to the wall in one of 2 ways: The first to a spring loaded rope connected to the top of the wall. This will enable the climber to scramble up the wall on his own accord, the automatic mechanism taking up the slack. In case he/she loses balance/grip, the mechanism will let him down slowly and gracefully to the mattress padded floor, regardless of the climbers weight (!!). The second option is to have an "anchor" person. This is a special mechanism connecting the wall rope from the ceiling and around a pulley down to the "anchor's" harness, the other end connected to the climber. The mechanism enables the climber to ascent on his own accord whilst the "anchor" takes up the slack. If the climber loses grip, the "anchor" takes the weight and can slowly lower the climber. I also saw climbers without any assistance, but they all had harnesses. I guess they were fully fledged climbers. There is an instructor onsite at all times on the premises giving instructions to first time climbers and "anchors" and also keeping an open eye to safety aspects. The place is run very efficiently. There are open, doorless lockers for your own private belongings, so do not leave your valuables unattended. There is a cafeteria near the establishment for drinks, cold and warm, sandwiches and ice-creams. If you want a meal, you can walk 12 minutes to the Malcha Mall or drive. Parking is free right next to the Teddy Stadium and a 1 minute drive to the mall where parking is free for the first 2 hours. On the whole, I'm sure the kids are going to have a great time. Mount Everest is the next challenge. The "anchor" can stay home.

The video is a bit old and in todays standards not high quality. The message is a bit ethnocentric. Other than that it brings to life the long history of Jerusalem in a very interesting way
