World Class Musuem. I also enjoyed the interesting parts outside of the museum for exmple the childrens memorial. It really helped me to understand the holocaust better.

Excellent experience. Went with 5/8/10 kids. There is so much to see and learn about.also there were many activities for the kids you like making dream catcher. The guided tour is musk be taken because it's a big place. It's also combining history with technology which very appropriate for kids.

    PROS
    * Important museum dedicated to a prominent dominant figure in Jewish and Israeli history from the 1930s until 1982
    * Very well-done presentations, documentations and artifacts of the momentous times and cataclysmic events
    * Nice modern architectural building in a super scenic location
    * Advanced study and learning center too

    CONS
    * Visit is by pre arranged and pre booked guided tour, so it's not at the visitor's speed and particular interest

    "I VISITED THIS PLACE"...
... because it was near and close to our hotel during our special long weekend visit to Jerusalem.

The museum is located in a very scenic corner overlooking the Old City.

We had to pre-arrange purchasing a timed ticket with no senior discount. We took a guided tour- available in both languages.

It was quite interesting and I enjoyed hearing the history and seeing and even touching the historical artifacts- I sat on the simple couch from his living room and also handled the phones that he used in his Prime Minister's Office (see my photos).

It was a bit frustrating that the pace was that of the tour guide and group, and not my own speed.

    WAS IT WORTH THE COST?
    Yes

WOULD "I VISIT THIS PLACE" AGAIN?
    Once is enough

    ADVICE
    * Go and learn about the man and the history
    * Be aware that it requires pre- booking and that it is a guided tour, which must be requested for English

Good collection, well thought out and arranged chronologically. It's a nice complement to the Israel Museum nearby.

The exhibits and videos highlight people who played a role in establishing Israel. All is well done and informative.

Firstly, if you are coming by light rail, use the exact address to get to the entrance. If not, you’ll end up at the locked back gate or a very large bus depot!
On arrival, people were helpful and explained what to look at using the very good audio. The museum is cleverly laid out with personal stories and lots of detail - very well presented. Overall, an excellent visit and very well worth the time.

Some how, in my all my time spent in Jerusalem, I missed this museum. SHAME on me! Do not let this happen to you. This really is worth making an effort to experience. One of the best museum on Islam I have been to (and I have been to many). Completely unexpected to find on the Western side of Jerusalem.

Was so nice to see so many school children in the museum. Museum was full and it should be. Please find the time to visit.

Interesting building (hexagon) and exposure, but for children there is no interactive items, not modern one.

The Wohl Archaeological Museum is result of excavations in the Herodian Quarter. Herod was a Roman client ruler. He is known as Herod the Great. He was a great builder, but people resented the heavy taxes needed to pay for his building.

I don’t know how many tax museums there are in the world, but Jerusalem’s must be up there with the very best! After several score visits to the city, I was looking for something a little different, and this Fit the bill. The one room museum offers a tour of taxation systems in what is now Israel over the last 2000 years. One issue is that all of the signage was in Hebrew; the museum does possess an English translation of the main Descriptions, but the subsidiary ones – – that is the descriptions of actual exhibits – – are all in Hebrew. Still, if you work for the IRS or some fraternal organization you will be in seventh heaven here! I was only slightly amused, but it was not a bad way to spend an hour or so before heading off to Machane Yehuda market for lunch. By the way, the museum does not tax you! It’s free!

A wonderfully welcoming place with a superb collection of textiles as well as many other artefacts. The Curator took time to chat with me and there was no pressure to buy from their small shop or given more than the voluntary NIS 20 exit donation. A decent look around will take between 60 and 90 minutes.

We enjoyed this small museum! They are doing more work so O expect it will be even better. Get the Pass that includes the Burnt museum and the Huerva synagogue at the first one you visit. Allow about an hour or so.

If you have an hour to fill, then visit this museum. It shows how people lived in Jerusalem in the old days. We were lucky to walk into a Bar Mitswa that was being held in the museum. This visit pleasantly surprised us.

The recently remodeled house gives a very personal and enriching experience of Israel’s history and politicians life (Levi Eshkol, Golda Meir, Ben Gurion). Great pics also. Taking a guided tour is recommended.
