What travellers are saying
- Helen MIsrael9 contributionsWe had a great girls afternoon out - a glass blowing workshop with Yael and Hila. Yael gave an introduction and guidelines how to create our creation and helped us every step of the way. Yael and Hila are patient and lovely - they clearly love their craft and love to expose others to the fun and creativity of glass blowing.Written 11 November 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Leah B1 contributionUri was great to work with, from making the arrangement for the event and during the workshop. It was a great activity for my great nephews, ages 9-11. Kept them engaged and involved. Had a wonderful time.Written 2 December 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Bernard WDallas, TX1,948 contributionsDue to Covid and now the October 7 War, Yad LaKashish have given few tours. Unfortunate. Susan gave us a tour of this lifeline for 200 older Israeli citizens from 12 countries speaking 24 languages living below the poverty line. Their ages currently range from 67 to 93—may they live and be well. They learn useful skills, which they then use to make items, which are sold in the gift shop. There are 9 workshops—paper mache, appliqué, metal, ceramics, book binding, silk painting, recycled papers, knitting, and embroidery—which challenge them mentally and physically. Their work is directed by artisans and is truly beautiful. Strongly recommend taking a (free) tour and purchasing items from their gift shop. This is a real win-win for all concerned.Written 20 November 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- Journey497676Modiin, Israel60 contributionsEnticed by a hand built small building filled with homemade jams for sale, the homeowner beckoned us into the courtyard and asked if we wanted a tour. The multilevel home features a stunning view from the roof deck, a basement mosaic floor and other treasures. The tour is 15NIS per adult, children are free and is gratis with jam purchase.Written 26 September 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - ltravellos angeles49 contributionsSo I have spent my life wanting to learn Hebrew and its a tough language . I found Ulpan Or a year ago and its amazing. I have progressed and look forward to the studies. Their unique mix of videos, teachers and online studies works really well. I can now actually talk to my Isaeli friends and cant wait to return to Israel to practice in real time.Everyone at Ulpan is professional, friendly and very very helpful. My teacher Tal is the most amazing and she has been with me through this journey. If you are considering learning Hebrew, use Ulpan Or!!Written 22 May 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
