- Fonk B49 contributionsI recommend getting a guide for the visit. The history associated with it is remarkable. It truly resembles those iconic locations, such as the Grand Canyon, where photographs cannot fully convey the scale and splendor.Written 5 December 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - MG302018Sheffield, UK79 contributionsHot tip: it is free entry if you visit during prayer time and aim to pray at the mosque. Although we didn’t complete a tour it was an experience to complete your prayers and hear the prayer call. What a fantastic opportunityWritten 5 December 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Jon Burris9 contributionsMy wife and I went to Istanbul on a trip organized by the Road Scholars organization. Regardless of all the research we did before the trip we were amazed by the beauty of the city and the variety of things to do there. Obviously seeing the numerous mosques, including the well known Blue Mosque, is highly advised however the museums are certainly worth visiting as well, especially the Istanbul Modern Museum of Art. We were very impressed with the Road Scholars group and their professional guides who made our trip so rewarding. Their planning and daily guidance was welcomed in as much Istanbul is a very large city with many neighborhoods to experience.Written 3 December 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Husain M HusainManama, Bahrain433 contributionsThe outdoor outlet shopping mall is great where you can find the best prices in Istanbul. Many restaurant and cafes are located here. You will have one of the best shopping experience in Istanbul. this mall is very beautiful.
Regarding the Theme park, it was very annoying the the price for tourist are fixed at USD 55 which is expensive that means I had to pay USD 220 (4 ticket) to enter the park. while many rides were closed due to winter season. Even the quality of the park is not good and you cannot compare to other parks which cost around the same in other countries. The theme park is not worth it with this cost. We decided to not enter the park.Written 28 November 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. And there is nice places for coffee breaks and remember to try the famous Turkish Kumpir ( stuffed potatoes) . You can take the tram to Kabatas and then the bus to Ortakoy , but the busses is sometimes very crowded on the way back. It was easier for me to take the Ferry from Eminonu to Ortakoy.Written 7 October 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - A. AliManchester, UK191 contributionsWhile traveling in Istanbul, I had the incredible opportunity to visit the resting place of Abu Ayub Ansari. It was a serene and tranquil place, filled with an aura of peace and spirituality.
Abu Ayyub was one of the Ansar of early Islamic history, who supported Muhammad ﷺ after the hijra (migration) to Medina in 622.
It is said that it was outside Abu Ayub Ansari's house that the prophet ﷺ's camel sat down when she arrived in Medina, and that's where Allah's beloved ﷺ stayed when they first arrived in Medina.

We were staying in Taksim, so to get here, it took us around 40 minutes in the taxi, and it was so worth it. If you're in Istanbul, I'd highly recommend you visit. Gets a bit busy when the large tour groups turn up so perhaps try early in the morning or the evening (if you have a tripod to get enough light).
We actually passed by post midnight and it was extremely serene compared to the daytime madness!Written 12 October 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
