We only visited one of the museums and this was located next to the Buddhist Memorial Statute and the 18 metre height of this represents the 2nd Killer Wave which was that height.
The lady who runs and owns the museum is amazing and relives the moment each time a new person enters..the most captivating thing for me is that the building was wiped out but true spirit and determination lives on.
I've been to some powerful museums in my time (Cambodia, Vietnam War Museum) but this is up there in terms of impact.
The community volunteers that staff the museum were wonderful and were keen to explain the facts and figures as well as related real stories.
