- dianne c150 contributions200K VND for day use which includes the shoes, an extra 40k for the chalk. The place is huge and they have a lot of courses(?) for different levels.
The staff was very nice and helpful.
They have a shower room too but you have to bring all the essentials - towel, soap, shampoo.
All in all it was a fun experience as a first time boulderer(?). Couldn't make it past the Grade 3 though, since I felt it was designed for foreigners, most stuff I could not reach haha. The accommodation was the perfect mix of authentic homestay and fancy hotels. Hoan was planning the days perfectly with lunch break and water refilling,
Alan was the perfect person to have contact with before we did book the trip. Wouldn't hesitate about anything thru the whole trip. We travelled 17 days from the north to south of vietnam and every step of the way, Anh would check in via phone and text to ensure everything was going smoothly. Our group was very impressed with how organised Anh was and I was so grateful for all of the travel advice he also provided along the way. Out drivers were all so polite and respectful. - Cormac MLimerick, Ireland3 contributionsI couldn't rate this place highly enough. We rented 3 great bikes from them for a trip from Ho Chi Minh to Hanoi. They provided us with all the gear we needed and great advise for our journey. We ended up crashing two of the bikes (our own fault) in a pretty remote area and writing them off. Style were super helpful and more concerned for our wellbeing than the bikes. The insurance covered everything but transporting the broken bikes which was amazing. They even rented two new bike again in the following city for no extra charge. Super friendly staff, amazing service, great bikes. This company is the pinnacle of great customer service. - Alexandra789010 contributionsI went on a two day, one night trip to Ha Long Bay, and it was incredible. Hieu, our tour guide, was knowledgeable and effortlessly created a really fun (but chill) group dynamic. While he got us everywhere on time, we never felt rushed.
The boat was SO clean. Our rooms were gorgeous and smelled fresh - none of that mildewy smell that older seafaring boats can get. The sheets were pristine, and the floor to ceiling glass windows allowed us a perfect view of the bay. I don’t know how the team did it, but they found areas in the bay which were completely unoccupied, no other tourist boats in sight.
Finally, the excursions. While many loved the kayaking, I think a sleeper favorite was the early morning bicycle ride through the island. Set was ok, but not immersive. Puzzles were interesting with a mix of high tech and combo locks, hands-on puzzles and mind puzzles. English-speaking moderator was excellent at giving hints that guided us without giving us direct answers. Takes cash and credit card (although credit card machine is finicky so cash is preferable). Our plans changed and we ended our bike trip in Da Nang but Mr Phung arranged for transportation for the bike from there. I contacted lots of operators and Halong Bay Hunters came to the rescue.
Found us the Emurade and sorted the rest. Great comms, smooth transfer to and from Hanoi.
