- Samantha W2 contributionsDevin was the best host. He took us to the market to buy ingredients, then we went back to Maya kitchen to prep and cook the ingredients. The class was fun and easy, they accommodated us being vegetarians and we used king oyster mushrooms instead of meat which was amazing!
I would highly recommend this activity as a fun way to spend a morning and then eat loads of freshly made traditional Vietnamese dishes. - Radovan O5 contributionsHighly recommend this Vietnamese cooking class! The 27-year-old chef was fantastic—skilled, engaging, and passionate about sharing his culture. Daisy, as a translator, your explanations during the morning market visit made it even more enriching. We cooked traditional pho soup, fresh pork and shrimp rolls, and savoury Vietnamese pancakes. It was a perfect mix of cultural learning, hands-on cooking, and amazing food. We really enjoyed the combination of touring the market and trying all kinds of interesting and different things to the learning to cook Vietnamese dishes! Chef answered all of our questions and we learned about local food sold in the market. He knew all of the vendors and which sold the best items. Very active experience which made it even better. Class concluded with eating the food we prepared which which was a full meal for sure.
