Interesting place with the massive Buddha surrounded by quite a few small buddhas. The access is reasonable easy, but if on a tour bus, need to change for a smaller bus to access the tight roads up the hill. A reasonable walk, may be 500 or so meters from bus drop off location to teh front of the Big Buddha. Many steps may be 80 or 90 to walk to the Buddha location.

Great views of the surrounding areas

Jomtien beach is well served by attentive parasol/bed operators and numerous vendors hawking their wares. After a while it becomes tiresome when some grab your foot. Unfortunately the sea and beach are getting buried under litter and whatever the tide washes up. Our last visit included stepping in thick crude oil. It’s noisy and unpleasant and I can’t understand why they commercial operators can’t organise a proper beach clea.

It’s not really a good beach!
I’m disappoint with this place, I was expecting more because everyone said the Thailand beach’s are so beautiful which is not true for this one. There are so many boats close to the beach which make the water a little dusty and even the beach is not clean. I had no chance to went to Puckett but I’m pretty much sure those beaches are with white sand and clear water.
Don’t waste your time on this beach.

always nice to take a relaxing walk, be it at night, be it in the morning (midday sun will kill you). about 5 years ago and again 4 years ago they upgraded the beach bloulevard (sea side). They removed the hangaround spots, like chairs which itself is a pity, however the boulevard itself is more spacious, wider and they made the beach far more attractive by widening the beach (add sand mike it much more enjoyable). So it is fun to walk. Unfortunately the loud "barside"still is a complete desaster with traditional beerbars, load music and "hostesses". Still work to do there. Moreover there still too many "freelance hostesses" on beach side. And it is not safe for teen girls to walk alone. My 12yo daughter was approched by several "monguls" asking her how much. She got scrared and confused. Pattaya police should beat the crap out of these creaps (to my opinion). There are lots of police on the beach but they are inactive, hiding on the motorbike behind signs and stuff they are doing litterally nothing but waiting for there shift to end. No pro-active preventive clearly visible presence. To my opinion they should servey by food or on bike the beachroad, see and act rather than "hanging around" killing the shift. It works in downtown Amsterdam it should work in down town Pattaya.

This is a pretty vibrant night market with DJ music sounds. It isn’t as big as some markets that I have been to but it does cover the majority of shopping needs. The food stalls are particularly good. It does need more trash containers which may help with rubbish left on the floor.

Had the opportunity to buy fresh seafood here. Because a friend recommended it, it's fresh, new and cheaper than anywhere else. There is also a seafood grilling service. And there is a small service fee. Overall, it's good and worth it.

A much quieter beach than Pattaya or Jomtien. It can get busy on the weekends. Beach has roped off areas for swimming and to stop the racing seadoos from entering swimming zones.

The plaza has been refurbished and there are many new shops and entertainment outlets. Some of the small, more interesting ones have gone. Many of the places remaining are expensive and it is hard to find a bargain here

This covered market is packed full of mostly clothing stalls selling low quality stuff aimed at tourists. As with many local markets, there's hardly any price tags and prices can be negotiable. I came here trying to buy a pair of traditional Thai style trousers. Paid 250 and I'm pretty sure I should've bargained harder. There's a small food court at the back, but the options are limited if you're vegetarian.

This is a big modern shopping mall, though there is little to distinguish it from others in the city. There’s a mix of big brands and local shops. Probably aimed at the mid market segment. There’s even a bank and a sort of soft play area for children that also functions as a mini gym. It’s definitely worth visiting if you are staying in the northern end of Pattaya beach. The Big C Supermarket is very useful if you’re staying in the city for long enough to warrant saving money on food.

Boyztown used to be the gay centre of Pattaya and was alive with pubs and bars and other entertainment places. There used to be selection of hotels here. It still exists but the businesses became greedy and thet prices went too high. Now a lot of places have closed. It has sanitised in some ways, and it is still a good place to people watch however it has totally lost its charm

A fun giant sign that spells out the name of the city, Pattaya. Just in case you ever need proof you visited the beach city. It's also visible day and night as it's lit up some time after the sun goes down.
