- bitdeer M16 contributionsSince it was a day trip, a delicious lunch was provided. The only thing I have to complain about is how much time we spent chatting among ourselves while seated in the dining area. There were long stretches of time between tasks.Written 7 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Veronika G10 contributionsWe went for a day trip with a guide from living green elephant sanctuary. It was packed with activities, the guide was so kind and funny, we had such great times!! And elephants were the best part. Thank you for great experience and taking care of elephants in a good will 🙏 p.s. the most delicious pad thai served at the lunch break 😍Written 7 October 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Marina L2 contributionsThis experience was unforgettable - absolutely incredible. The festival itself was lovely and fairly well organized, with the exception of the transportation to the grounds which was disorganized with multiple queues and nobody there to direct people. That aside, upon arrival it was great. Tons of food, activities, and exploring to be done before the formal ceremony begins, so go early to have time to soak it in. We sat quite far back for the ceremony, so the audio wasn't great but it was a good cultural experience. The lanterns are of course the highlight; this was a surreal experience and made it all worth it. Be prepared for about an hour drive in a tuk tuk each way and note that the outhouse bathrooms were pretty disgusting.Written 15 December 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Rob CNew Taipei, Taiwan15 contributionsMy family and I joined full-day tour and it was just amazing. Karen people, who have been living with elephants for several generations, led us to have a close contact with those elephants. Safe, ethical, and fun I would say. Lunch was so delicious. We spent some time hekking with elephants and visiting grandeur waterfall. Feeding, bathing activities are fun. And we learned that those elephants love to interact with human since they grow up with human. My kids love this place and elephants so much. Highly recommend to anyone who would like to spend time in an ethical elephant camp.Written 3 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Flyer679643232112 contributionsVery lovely area, elephants are beautiful! Completely ethical, no riding the elephants, just observing and feeding them bamboo and watermelon. Also the change to wash them in the stream at the end. Had fun in the water fall and also included a lovely meal at the end with local music played.
If you’re looking for an ethical and lovely place, you should so go there!Written 8 August 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. She and her husband korn offer small and large group tours, but we opted for a more personal experience.
Very pleased with our trip, and being a private tour, we could choose when and where to visit along the route.
Puang is very knowledgeable, so we learned a lot about the longneck Karen’s who we visited en route to the waterfalls.
The one big advantage is Puang and korn can help with things like ordering food etc.
Korn even arranged for my wife to get her hair cut and for us to have traditional sak yants with a monk.
We will definitely use them for any trips we plan to take around Chiang Mai when we come back.
A really good recommended company.Written 22 November 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Our guide, Por, told us about many of the individual elephant’s stories and also many of their health conditions too.
She was very aware of our safety at all times as many of the elephant move freely around the grounds and visitors are not allowed to interact with them and for safety, we had to move away from those approaching us (intentionally or not - 2 youngsters were oblivious to our presence as they play fought!)
We were assessing the facility for a friend interested in volunteering and we were happy to report back that it seemed good on that front.
There were a number of free roaming dogs (rescues as well) and we were shown some of the kennels too. I was impressed that there was a sign indicating that you shouldn’t touch dogs with red collars because it meant the dogs can relax and people are not at risk with them too. (The dogs you can pat are amazingly soft- I need to know what shampoo they use!!)
The meal included is well worth it and there is curio store for souvenirs too.Written 4 October 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Henry SandhamEngland, UK11 contributionsAbsolutely fantastic, it was around 5 so nobody was there, I did 2 rounds in a regular kart, got shouted at by my mum for going too fast, did another round after that in a faster kart, hit a barrier (my fault) and then crashed again a few laps later (also my fault) but this time into the field at the last corner. Hit a rock and slid basically, rock hit my knuckle, tiny cut, doing fine. Stuck with the regular karts and everything went good. However, the track is extremely bumpy on the first 2 corners and the final long right hander (where I crashed), in the fast kart, I could barely control it in the first 2 corners, too bumpy and my foot would slip and my hands were doing overtime with steering. Regular karts were very responsive and great to drive. Staff were also super friendly and helpful, even going as far as following me In their kart when I was in the fast one to make sure I was okay (I still crashed). Helmets were also a great fit, jacket was good and gloves, if full fingered, would be fantastic. But really, they gotta fix the bumps on that track and add a kerb to the inside of the final corner. Oh and this was my first time there and I got feedback from staff and family saying I was extremely quick, in fact My mum said she was so worried about me. And final thing I recommend for the staff is to add barriers on the corner I crashed at. Final rating 4/5 or 8.5/10. Great time, needs work.Written 5 September 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Oliver H6 contributionsDue to heavy rain we had to switch our 3 days trekking from north to southern mountains of Chiang Mai. Our guide Dino took good care of all in the group. From deep jungle to crossing heavy waters or wonderful rice fields, it was an amazing mixture. Sleeping in villages was a unique experience on top. Thanks to the entire team 🤘Written 6 October 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- Stacie P1 contributionOur full day experience with Blue Elephant Thailand Tours on May 19, 2024 to Doi Inthanon, rafting, tree house lunch, walking and bathing elephants was an experience that words can really describe. I am late in writing this review as I wanted to be able to have the right words to describe the best day ever. So, the best I can say is there are no words. You need to experience it for yourself.
We looked at so many options for an elephant experience and my heart was led to Blue Elephant. Because my mother loved elephants so much, this excursion was in honor of her memory. When I talk about this tour day, tears come from the shear pleasure of being able to spend time with these majestic creatures and their mahouts. As I looked into these (BETT) elephants' eyes, I saw kind and happy souls. Other elephants we encountered during our vacation did not have the spark of happiness in their eyes.
We were blessed to have Mr. Bob as our private guide. He was the best and recommend him highly! We talked the whole time, learning about Thai history, cultures, the sanctuary and care for their 3 elephants; which will soon be 5. Two babies are due in a few months.
I plan to return in 2025 to meet the new little ones and spend more time with their beutiful, well cared for, elephants and get to see Mr. Bob again.
