Free for over 60. Various style, mostly base on hindu thoughts are there. Mix of modern strokes with ancient two dimentional creations make them fresh. Sculptures of bronce and mix materials are fine. Worth to visit for 280B.

My second visit to Wat Pak Nam Phasi Charoen, an amazing temple. In July 2023 there were less tourist around but even this time on a Sunday it was not too crowded. I took the MRT to Bang Phai station, Exit 1, and then down the stairs or with the elevator, it takes about 15 minutes to reach the pedestrian bridge over the canal, and then to the grounds of the temple. There is the Meili Café near to the bridge, good espresso and brownies.
There is so much to see at this temple, of course the giant Buddha statue is the main object for pictures. From the pagoda which is behind the Buddha pictures of the area can be taken. In the pagoda there are several levels to climb up the stairs, definitely worthwhile to do.
Several foreign women walked around with very tight shorts and bustier, unfortunately the Thais are too shy to tell them that wearing such dress is very disrespectful.

This is amazing, the information on the tsunami was very interesting.
Its graphic and not for children but if medical background will find reallly good.
I left hubby out front. Was dissapoinyed a lot of pieces were in loan to another museum.
Seeing road accident victims was totally different toseeing them in hospital.
I found it fascinating and imformative but others are grossed out.
Didnt feel right to take photos and some places reuesting not too.
If in medical field would probably like better than others.

If you don’t mind the spiral stairs, the long walk up has an amazing view of Bangkok and its surrounding buildings. The temple itself is a little spacey.

Yes, the claim to fame is 'the largest fresh marketing in BKK", and that it is. Too large to cover completely, but take a stroll through a corner and you get the impression. The place is chaotic: not just in the aisles but also on the tables. We later saw fresh food markets in other places that were nearly organized!

Suan Pakkad or cabbage garden used to be the house of the grandson of King Chulalongkorn (Rama V) but is now a museum. There are 8 rooms connected into a spacious house. In the rooms many artefacts from different countries and periods, not only Thai. Pottery, jewellery, carvings, musical instruments etc. Not a typical tourist place, so quiet. If you want to enjoy something different I could recommend to spend around 2 hours here. Photography inside is not allowed and entrance fee is 100 baht.

Off the beaten track we took the river boat with orange flag from Icon Siam to there 11 stops and then a short walk around a quaint residential area .A nice little museum 100 THB to go in .They are cleaning them up and painting them to be used for a proccession in October for the kings birthday Explanations are in English and we saw some of a long You tube film of the barges being used .We have seen all the main sights in Bangkok as we have been here so many times That it was a pleasant trip for a couple of hours

If you only have a few days and you haven’t been to Bangkok before I would advise against it as it will take up travel time. However, we have been many times and we’re looking for something different and interesting and this certainly fitted the bill. It will only take an hour or so but you may green an understanding of Bangkok pre WW2, it’s free and very close to Talat Noi area so we did the two together.

A wonderful experience all the way through. The market tour was very informative and thorough. The cooking class was also educational and hands on. Poo was incredible and it was lovely to learn she and her family give 10% of revenue back to her community. Highly recommend this tour.

We chose this place because the menue included all the main dishes we have had in our vacation in Thailand. We were 9 people in class from all over the world, so it was interesting to share views on Thai food and traveling experiences. The instractor was very nice and patient. Unfortunately, most of the ingredients are not available in our country, so we will not be able to try this at home.
