What travellers are saying
- LuckyUnoTreySlc5 contributionsMy wife and I knew what it is but it was 100 feet from our hotel, and obviously very lively at night, so we spent several hours there.
We weren’t looking to hire a sex worker, just a night out with live music, and drinks.
I’d say Soi Cowboy delivered.
It’s a block long with both sides of the street 100% lined with bars/clubs. The street filled with tourists partying.
Exactly what you’d expect.
If you’ve experienced an area dense with nightlife, you know what this is. The kicker here is the abundance, and openness of sex workers. Again, not what we were there for, but we enjoyed all the other aspects. Honestly I started to give it a 3 out of 5 because it was average for this kind of experience. However I decided to bump it up because the (many) working girls were very respectful of us as a couple.
And if that is what you want, it’s probably great.
Also, we watched 3 different live bands, and all did a great job entertaining. So 4/5.Written 21 January 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Get there just before 11 am to watch the snake venom extraction process, then walk around both floors to see live snakes and the history, biology etc.
Outside there are more large live enclosures in the attractive gardens. Have a coffee or lunch in the cafe, then enjoy the live snake handling at 2pm.
There is an opportunity to hold a snake at the end of the show. Commentaries for both are in Thai and English.
Entry is 200 TBH for foreigners.
Catch the MRT to San Yam BL27. Exit 2 then 8 minutes walk to snake farm.Written 21 November 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Chapones3 contributionsEnjoyable day with the family (kids 15 & 17) with lots of laughs. The water park is a good spot for anyone looking to escape the heat of Bangkok. Don’t expect too much from the rides, however, we enjoyed them. Especially the retro rides which had us all laughing.
One important note - make sure you buy tickets on Trip Advisor hand. We didn’t and we were stung at the gate for an additional 600Baht on the entry fee as we were tourists (I had assumed an entry fee of 400Baht which I had seen online, however, this is a locals price). The extra cost initially spoilt the day as I was kicking myself for not buying the tickets on Trip Advisor.Written 3 January 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. But my family and I went because my daughter loves taekwondo, karate and boxing. It was a fight between two girls. The fight was as good as normal boxing, without blood. Highly recommended if your kids

The boat stops have the timetable and fare chart on display. Fare is quite comparative to the bus service there. I paid by cash. Good overall service.Written 20 November 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- Caiti FBangkok, Thailand23 contributionsIf you are looking to experience water everywhere, loud music and loads of festivities for free then head over to Silom and walk down the street. You can veer off into side streets to find quieter spaces and loads of restaurants and bars celebrating. Won't go again, but worth seeing it.Written 5 July 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- Dingo_6152Fremantle, Australia3,398 contributionsNow this is a unique way to really get around Bangkok. Best described as being dirty and dangerous... but also handy, vibrant and exhilarating.
There are two options, the klorng boats, which run from 5:30am to 10:30pm, with ticket prices around 8B to 20B. These hold about 40-50 passengers, have dubious safety equipment, unreliable timetables but zoom down the canal at breakneck speeds. Whilst they have plastic tarpaulins you are fairly low to the water and always face the possibility of getting wet from the spray.
The other alternative is the tourist hop on/hop off boats which run from Pratunam (bear the Central World Plaza) and Panfa Leelard, just behind the Mahakan Fort, at Phanfa Bridge. These are more expensive, but cheaper and quicker than a taxi, they give you the same experience as the local klorng boats but at a more leisurely and safer speed. Can purchase a one-way or all-day ticket.Written 10 October 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - ChiefofkeefeBangkok, Thailand22 contributionsVery fun. A lot of games to choose from and quite nice service. To be honest it was quiet so luckily we got a lot of attention from staff. Staff could speak good English also. Price seems steep at first but after it felt worth it. Shared one booth for 2 person for 1 hour was nice to try. Wish they had alcohol hahaWritten 20 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
