- NettianBembridge, UK161 contributionsReally interesting experience and well run attraction. Get there just before 11 am to watch the snake venom extraction process, then walk around both floors to see live snakes and the history, biology etc.
Outside there are more large live enclosures in the attractive gardens. Have a coffee or lunch in the cafe, then enjoy the live snake handling at 2pm.
There is an opportunity to hold a snake at the end of the show. Commentaries for both are in Thai and English.
Entry is 200 TBH for foreigners.
Catch the MRT to San Yam BL27. Exit 2 then 8 minutes walk to snake farm.Written 21 November 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. But I've visited this place on a few occasions. One was when my workplace, and sibling organizations in Bangkok, booked out the place for a "sports day". We had the place to ourselves for a day, and competed against our sibling organisations in athletics, footsal, tug-of-war, and several other events (traditional and contrived for the occasion). Lunch and other refreshments were catered by the in-house restaurant.
The grounds are spacious, the turf well maintained, and the stands and facilities basic but fine.
Is the place great for its regular purpose of horse racing? I suspect so. It was certainly great on my non-racing visits.Written 4 August 2015This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. He even customized to meet my interest. I engaged Jack for 2 days excursions. We had breakfast, meals and snacks like how locals in their daily life. Jack share local and his favorite snacks entire trip. I never felt like lost nor ever wasted my time entire trip. He even got head of me on every train rides. My most memorable itinerary is the Kwai River and Hellfire in the Tenasserim Hills of Kanchanaburi.
Whenever you engage Jack, let him know your what time you would like to start and end your day. He will plan very well to meet you time and the destination timing. Even though the plan your day starts at 6.40AM, he'll be at your hotel as early as 6AM and you can start earlier.
Best part of all, Espresso for Jack and Latte for me to start the day.Written 5 December 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
