What travellers are saying
- julian cHailsham, UK269 contributionsVery quiet, if a little overgrown in places, cemetery park in the Sathorn area of Bangkok. Locals use it for exercise and recreation. Few places to eat but not much else to do but enjoy the tranquillity in the middle of the city.Written 16 February 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - The Wordless TravelerSingapore, Singapore224 contributionsWhile walking to Wat Pho I happen to come across Wat Ratchabopit Sathit Mahasimaram. Some parts of the place is under renovation but the garden area is really well taken care of. But it's a peaceful place to visit.Written 5 December 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Robby the GardenerBrighton, UK6 contributionsInteresting. People we never knew come to life in their images on their tombstones. What happened to them? Why so young? Struck by a car in Saigon! And returned to a last resting place here. Thailand’s population is mainly Buddhist; Buddhists cremate their dead. Here lie the bones of deceased Protestants whose lives ended here or hereabouts. Their stories live on! A visitor can identify with these travellers to a foreign land.Written 27 January 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Chuck BSteilacoom, WA817 contributionsA huge complex with a couple of eye-catching edifices make this place worth a stop. Easy enough to do as it is directly on the Golden Mount, Democracy Monument and canal boat to Jim Thompson House Circuit. Still it is hard to get excited by wats. In Bangkok they are like flies, Wat Saket excepted.Written 26 November 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
