I was a little nervous spending a day in Addis Ababa since im a solo female traveler and dont speak the local language. I'm really glad that I booked this tour because I had an unforgettable day.

I had Mr. Z as my guide and he made me feel very safe and comfortable throughout the whole tour. He picked me up at the hotel and I visited the community bakery to see how the wheat bread was made. Unfortunately people at the kitchen where the injera demonstration is done were on break. Mr. Z explained the process at the community bakery so I still got a sense on how its done. Then we headed up to the mountain village for the coffee ceremony. Before we got there, Mr. Z got some water for me since the elevation is very high and some people may be prone to altitude sickness. He also carried my heavy bag for me up the hill from the parking lot since I was struggling. Once we got to the place, Mr. Z explained everything very thoroughly and was very knowlegeable. Next we headed to the market to see the spices, honey wine, incense and grains. Then finally we visited a restaunt and ate injera with a variety of different sauces. I visited during the holy week so everything was vegan. The food was sooooo good. Afterwards Mr. Z dropped me off at the airport where I waited for my next flight that evening. The airport is further away from the city but Mr. Z was happy to make my journey as easy as possible.

Oh I forgot to mention Mr. Z is amazing at taking photos. I have so many good ones that I can post on social media now.

If you are thinking about taking a tour in Addis Ababa....TAKE THIS ONE AND REQUEST MR. Z. I had the best time ever, was well taken care of and wished I stayed in Ethiopia longer.

Your operation was first class all the way, from pickup at the airport, transfers, tours and our transfer back to the airport. Everything was professionally handled. Your drivers and tour guides were always prompt, courteous and are very knowledgeable on the history of your country. They went out of their way at times to make us comfortable.

I had 2 trips to Wenchi Crater Lake and the other day to Debre Libanos monastery and Portuguese Bridge, with lunch each. Both of them were nice. But these 2 trips don't show you real Ethiopia, as you should have one of the other cultural and safari trips.

It’s my first time in Ethiopia and I could say that this tour made it memorable! My tour guide Haben is so knowledgable and patient in explaining historical and culutural facts. He would really explain answers to my curiosity the best way he could. If you are into cultural immersion, make sure to book this trip! They even made me taste cultural food as well. Ethiopia is beautiful! If you have limited time and want to explore churches, nature and museum, this could be for you! Thank you so much Haben! I will have my family from the Philippines book this tour again!

I cannot praise Ethio Travel and Tours for making our trip to Lalibela as perfect as could be. Everything about the experience was five-stars, from first email contact through the last goodbyes at the airport. Before the trip we experienced the best in customer service and thoughtful planning, preparing us for every step of the process. Once on the trip, the tour guides were extremely knowledgeable and experienced; the crew was professional, friendly and gracious.

Our tour was very well organized and our guide, Daniel, was excellent! He was very knowledgeable, enthusiastic and provided us with a great first experience visiting the area. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting the Addis for the first time. We had plenty of time at each stop to see the sights.

If you’re a knowledge seeker looking to explore and understand the Ethiopian culture and heritage, look no further. At first glance, I didn’t know what to expect when I met up with Melaku however I was incredibly blown away by his knowledge on palaeontology and his easy and simple way to explain complexed aspect in this field.

His Professional and Planning ability is second to none and I was really impressed by the fulfilment of the itinerary from the onset along with consistent communication touch points he had lined for our day trip to Debre Lebanos.

Very knowledgeable on the Ethiopian culture and so was always constantly learning about something new about this beautiful heritage.

Melaku definitely left us feeling wanting to explore more of the country and the culture. He’s very open to ideas, planning and suggesting insights catered to your needs. Sadly we didn’t have enough time to visit other places like Zawiye and Entoto however for sure on my next visit to Addis I will not hesitate to use his services.

Truly an amazing guide! Looking forward to our next visit

We went on a 4-day tour to the Highlands and Rift Valley south of Addis. It was a wonderful and unforgettable experience. First we visited three very interesting historical sights: the archaeological site of Melka Kuntre, the wonderful Adadi Mariam rock-hewn church and the Tiya stele field, a Unesco World Heritage Site. We also visited a farming family and learned about the processing and preparation of False Banana. From a viewpoint on the way to Ziway, we had a breathtaking view of the Rift Valley before the road winds down into the valley. On the second day there was an exciting boat trip on the huge Lake Ziway to an island with hundreds of birds and to a very enchanted monastery island, rounded off with a visit to the best fish restaurant in town. At Lake Langano we were then able to relax and swim at the idyllic Sabana Beach Resort. The visit to Abijata Shalla National Park on the third day was another highlight with a hike through the breathtaking landscape, where we saw lots of pelicans, flamingos and other water birds as well as antelopes, ostriches and a jackal. We were particularly fascinated by the hot springs. All in all, it was a very impressive and unforgettable experience. My guests, who were in Ethiopia for the first time, got a great impression of the country. Beki is a wonderful tour guide. He knows how to explain the culture of his country in a very interesting and sensitive way and has in-depth background knowledge. It's a pleasure to travel with him.

First time in Africa, so didnt know what to expect. We were very good supported by our guide Yihun & our drivers who helped us in case we needed something. Nothing was to much and they helped to make this experience unforgettable. They made sure we saw and learned as much from the country as possible. We stayed in nice places. Only the last lodge in Sodo where we stayed longer was quite disappointing. Manager was not really friendly, almost blamed for not eating all of our food. The rooms were never cleaned in the 4d and lot of things were not working properly. We expected more from a mid range lodge (as asked). Otherwise no complaints and only good experiences of this whole trip.
