Entrance fee for non locals is 30 UDS per person. Would suggest it takes 2 hours. Toilets either side of the entrance. There is also a shop, small gallery and nice cafe that does food and drink.
On entering bear left and follow the path to the 16 viewing points. At vp 1 is the statue of Livingston. You actually come to VP 2 first - 33 steps. The sight is simply awesome complete with massive rainbow, my wife was even a bit emotional. VP1 is off to the left and you have to retrace your steps back passed vp2 once you have been there.
All 16 viewing points are connected by a good concrete path- indeed we saw several people in wheel chairs being pushed around.
We were here start of Sept and water levels were not at their highest - however at times there was quite a lot of spray as if raining. We didn’t put our waterproof coats on but were mindful of our camera equipment.
The last viewing point is by the bridge between Zim and Zam- you then can take a different path back to the entrance or just retrace your steps. Everything is sign posted so don’t buy a guide. Had a couple of beers in the cafe 3USD each. A once in a lifetime place to visit - simply awesome

A lot of small local artist, very quiet, not aggressive of trying to sell something. You can walk without been bothered. Nice souvenirs can be bought here.

This is part farm, part zoo. You will see more crocs than you have ever seen before--in varying age groups--small enough to hold, teenagers and the huge breeders. There are albino crocs and even a dwarf croc. In addition, there is a building that showcases mainly African snakes. The guide that took us through could not have been nicer. They have a store where one can purchase crocodile skin products. Check out my photos for more details.

I had an afternoon visit, from 4 till about 6.30, just after sunset. It was not the best time of year, being around teh end of the rainy season meant there were other waterholes - apparently in the dry season this is one of teh few with water (it is pumped), so attracts a lot more wildlife. Nevertheless I had a close up view of warthogs, impala, kudu, several different types of stork, guinea fowl, egret, a kingfisher, and other birds too numerous to remember, Also a crocodile came out of the warpter just 20 feet away. A guide /tracker sat with me, knowledgeable about all the animals and birds, spotting things instantly and pointing them out . I had wondered if a couple of hours would be too long with just me and him, given the relative paucity of animals, but it wasn’t - scarcely a couple of minutes would pass before he pointed out something else.

Beautiful wildlife photos very reasonably priced. Truly a special memento of Zimbabwe! They will print in any size, and deliver to your hotel.

Kumbirai Kako is a master stone and wood carver who also offers baskets and jewelry. Besides his own products, he offers an expertly curated selection of local and regional crafts such as masks and textiles. Mr. Kako’s stone carvings include miniatures of exceptional quality, making them particularly suitable for travelers to take home as gifts.

In the Green Day co-op building of the Busy Island Curio Market. Look for the green roof!

While on a tour of Victoria Falls, our very excellent tour guide took us to the Busy Island Curio Market, tucked in behind the N1 Hotel. I was very excited to see the stone carvings, because I collect Zuni Fetishes, and the traditional stone carvers of Zimbabwe are equally renown. The market is rather chaotic with the vendors competing for your attention, but I am an experience flea market shopper, and was prepared for the hawkers. In the fifth of 6 areas, the Green Day Cooperative building, I met Kumbirai Kako, and found true artistry. His miniatures are beautiful. The elephant I bought captured the essence of a mature female in motion.

The vendors in the markets can be very determined, but I urge to be adventurous and seek out Mr. Kako and the Green Day Co-op. You will find very good quality art, pay much less than at your hotel gift shop, and the artists will get paid much more. Bargaining is part of the culture, so have fun and take home some exceptional art.

It will be great to just make a quick photo stop here but only if you have the time and happened to be close by. This tree is really big and more than 1000 years old. But nothing special other than this.

After reading TA's Shockwave reviews, I called Shockwave to book a Zambezi rafting trip. Philani answered my questions and booked the raft trip. Philani then asked what else we were planning to do while in the area. I told him that I had reviewed several tour companies' web sites and liked the X,Y,Z 10-day itinery from one of them. He suggested I send him the itinerary. I did. He responded with an offer to set up the entire 10 days of events just as they were in the brochure: rafting the Zambezi, river boarding the Zambezi, elephant riding, horseback riding, train ride, Hwange National Park, Chobe National Park, and the hotels. Philani even arranged transport between adventures. (The Hide at Hwange was extremely beyond superb and included two safari's per day and one safari per night. Chobe's incredible river safaris were filled with animals of all along the river.)
Philani arranged it all. With our family group of 6 people, I saved nearly $15,000 over the very well known company's "guided tour price" on the web. Moreover, Philani and his crew were excellent. When he handed us off to other vendorsthey too were excellent.

Thank you Maano for organizing our events during our week in Livingstone. Booked three events with them (Rafting, Vic falls tour and overnight in Chobe), and everything was organized superbly at a competitive cost. I can't recommend this company enough, they deserve a sixth star!

The guides and staff were very professional and accommodating. They were also so kind to these beautiful creatures. It was so great to get up close to them and also watch them interact together. Our walk with the Elephants was definitely a highlight of our trip. If I had something to complain about it would be that it isn't long enough. I could have sat with these elephants all day. The photographers did a great job capturing this unique activity through photos and a video. Thank you so much for this wonderful experience. I would highly recommend it!!!
