Laila, son and daughter were all good fun and made the food preparation experience informative an enjoyable. You don't do the actual cooking, just the communal prep but that was fine. Then you all sit down together to enjoy the fruits of your labour (3 course lunch).
We had a great time at this cooking class and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. We were well looked after by Kawtar and Khmisa. All of the recipes were easy to follow and delicious. We have even bought our own tagine now! We'd highly recommend this class.
This was one of the highlights of our trip! Chef hassan and Ahmed were both great teachers and we really enjoyed learning about the Moroccan culture and how to cook tagines. They both got everyone involved and the dishes/recipes were amazing. Best food in Morocco!
From start to finish this experience was amazing. Lots of knowledge passed to us and a lovely setting to learn Moroccan cooking. Beautiful mint tea made old school way and a selection of herbs and spice to smell with a quick chat on Moroccan cooking and what we going to make. The setting of the class was amazing and interactive in so many ways. We saw how bread was made by the chef. The sous chef made the dessert and the class made a chicken tagine with 2 salad accompaniment. Loved it that much could have cooked there all day. After our class we all set down as a class (x5) and ate what we cooked. Fresh flavoursome Moroccan. This 3 hour class is a must and this venue. You will not be disappointed.
Everyone was so welcoming and went above and beyond to make this a memorable experience. We had trouble finding the venue but made it to a near-by tourist attraction and were collected by one of the lovely staff. All the staff at the venue were friendly and super helpful, there was a lovely atmosphere. After a very enjoyable trip together to the local market it was fun preparing our meal together with expert guidance. We then chatted on the beautiful rooftop terrace before we enjoyed the fruits of our labour.
Best cookery course I've been on. So friendly and well run. It's good to go out and buy the ingredients. I learnt so much and it has inspired me to try these recipes at home.
Kantar and Jamila where excellent hosts, a great experience with translation when needed, but the best demo's and additional help if needed when it was your turn to make and mix the ingredients. We made three different pastrys and learned how to make tea. Very tasty and fun for all. Highly recommend, It's next door to BCK art riad and gallery, so look out for the sign on the street entrance.
We had such a lovely afternoon cooking ,chating and learnning Morrocan traditions with Yassine ! The space where we prepare and eat the food was lovely and bright! The food we cooked was delicious!!!! Highly recommended this workshop !!
As January is low season it was just 2 of us at this session. Khoula was very welcoming and offered mint tea on arrival. The session is outside as the ceramic tagines are cooked on traditional charcoal cookers. All the ingredients were laid out On a table on our arrival and after tea, Khoula began instructing us through the process of preparing both a vegetarian and chicken tagine . This is a hands on session . These take about 1hr 15 mins to cook and while waiting we had more tea and Khoula took us on a tour of the farm. We ate the tagines for lunch and were accompanied by soft drinks , bread and fruit . Khoula was patient , hospitable and answered all our questions and they were not all cooking related ! We had a good giggle along the was as I was over generous with the black pepper and was politely reminded a level teaspoon ! Khoula shared the recipes after the session. I would highly recommend this cookery session . The only downside is it is on the flight path to the support but this didn’t bother us or impact the session
This was a really fun experience with delicious food. We all had a fantastic time. I bought the cookbook but am disappointed that there is no recipe for your amazing Harissa. Would you mind sharing it with us? Jamie was our tour leader if you want to send it to her. Thank you!! We are all dying to make harissa!
