This tour is simply amazing. Everything is very well organized with native guides at each stop and they have different options depending on your preferences. All the guides are very attentive to what you need at all times and make you feel like one of them.
Mohammed was our tour guide and he is one of the best guides we have ever had. He has been attentive to us at all times, explaining every detail of all the places we passed by and very helpful with everything we asked him. In addition, he is originally from the desert, so he knows many interesting things that surely other tours do not tell.
On the first day in the morning they pick you up in a van (in very good condition and clean) near the hotel where you are staying and the trip begins. It is many hours of road, but with the information that the guide is telling you it does not really get long. Stops are made constantly in case you need to go to the bathroom or buy something to eat or drink, which makes the trip not really very heavy.
Once in the desert, the experience with the camels is very beautiful and special, crossing the dunes and doing sanboarding along with other groups. The night at the camp is brilliantly designed, with very tasty food, music and dancing around a bonfire. A brutal experience.
The next day, Moha took us with Rachid, another of the guides who invited us to his house to eat couscous and drink tea before guiding us through the gorge and todra valley. It is a very beautiful and special place, where you learn a lot about the Berber culture and their way of life.
The last day also has visits to very interesting and beautiful places, where movies like Gladiator or Game of Thrones were filmed, and you travel through the High Atlas before arriving in Marrakech. Again, Moha our guide, made stops every so often to make sure we were okay or so we could take pictures of the area.
Once in Marrakech, he took us to the hotel door and made sure everything was fine. Without a doubt, we would repeat with him.
To mention some things that were not perfect at all, I would say that the common bathrooms in the desert sometimes the water did not work very well for the showers and that on the last day they hosted us in another hotel than expected without notifying us beforehand. The hotel was very good, but I think they should notify the guests. I commented it to the agency and they received feedback very well and thanking us for telling them.
It has been an incredible experience and that, without a doubt, we will do it again.
