The Ala Moana Center in Honolulu is the world's largest open air shopping center with over 350 shops and over 150 food options. It offers shops for every need in every price segment, from inexpensive shops to 4 department stores to luxury boutiques. In addition, it also offers a variety of entertainment options such as free Hawaiian Hula shows and fashion shows. There is a huge free parking garage available for those arriving by car. Since it is very close to Ala Moana Beach Park, it can be easily connected. A stroll through the tropical ambience of the Ala Moana Center is particularly suitable on cloudy days, but keep in mind that prices in Hawaii are higher than those in the mainland US.

The selection of restaurants available is very good, parking is usually ample and reasonably priced with validation.

Tons of vendors and they were all very kind! There were some vendors selling locally made things, but not as many as I had hoped.

Upscale 2 story shopping mall near Waikiki on Kalakaua Avenue. No inexpensive shopping here. Nice enough to wander through and window shop. Found a nice gelato place just outside the northeast entrance.

This is a great place to shop the outlets and get some great deals. I like so many stores here Michael Kors, Vans, Famous Footwear, the perfume shop, Killinger, Crocs, Coach. Every store seem to have some kind of deal. There is literally everything for my entire family. And they have awesome food trucks in the parking lot for a quick and reasonable price and the have an outside sitting area.

We love Don Quijote because it carries a very large selection of Japanese and other Asian products, but of course, along with that, the price tag sometimes can also reflect the "made in japan". We especially enjoy their very reasonably priced sushi and hot meals. They have almost everything you need. What I found a little pricey here is the eggs (from hawaii) and the milk. you would be better off going to elsewhere for those products at a lower price point. We also enjoy their Taco poke in kim chee sauce...

During our one month stay in honolulu, we usually visit DQ at least 4 or 5 times.

Nice, fun way to spend a Saturday morning. We took TheBus from Honolulu. Drops off right across the street from Market. Really loved the older gentleman playing the ukulele. Fresh veggies, a few local products for sale and food vendors. We had great acai bowls and street corn.

On our recent trip to Oahu, we made an impromptu stop at this distillery, since we were driving from Kahuku to the west side. We only did a tasting, but had a great experience with Bernadette, who was super nice and knowledgeable. We took home a rum and pre made cocktails. It was a really nice surprise on our wonderful vacation.

Foodland turned out to be such a pleasant surprise during our trip to Oahu. I had read good things about these grocery stores, but did not expect their ready-to-eat food department to be so huge! And lots of vegetarian options as well.

We especially liked buying the various musubi which we could have for breakfast on the go, snacks, lunch and dinner, basically any time. Their poke looked amazing but we never got the chance to try it. My husband tried their cut pineapple in a cup which he really enjoyed.

At checkout, there are quite a variety of reusable bags with Hawaiian (and Foodland) designs. I bought a couple for souvenirs. Some people collect these the same way they collect Trader Joe bags. They are cute and cheap!

Shop for the things for your stay! Interact with wonderful artists and small, local growers. It is charming and pleasant. We will go back on the second day later this week! ❤️

We came here to go to the cinema and popped into the pub for lunch before we went in to the movie. Nice enough place with a lot of shops.

Great selection and prices. I loved this place - we spent a long time combing through all the racks to find 'the' shirt. Many are actually made in HI. Prices were similar to or slightly lower than what we saw elsewhere for similar quality. Be aware this feels more like a flea market than, say, Macy's. Personally I found it quirky and fun but YMMV. It's a bit off the beaten path.

My husband and I took The Bus to the Hawaiian Chip Company and we were greeted immediately by kind workers. Their fresh chips were delicious and enjoyed putting various seasonings on to try. Absolutely crisp and enjoyable!

Small Japanese department store that has a little of everything. The ceiling is worth stopping in and checking out as it’s quite stunning.

Nice Centre. Monorail wasn’t running which was a bit of a disappointment but some fun stores, actually probably more stores that I enjoyed than what’s at ala Moana for my personal taste and it’s indoor to take a break from the heat.
