    Great times
    Great flea market with food vendors, local artists, and general souvenir stuff. Good way to spend an early morning. Costs 50 cents admission per person but worth the time if in the area

    Review of: Makai Glass Maui
    Dropped in for a moment....
    I'll just jump out there to say that we didn't buy anything, but we REALLY enjoyed our time browsing. The artwork is INCREDIBLE and we also got to watch them working with glass in the back of the studio. Fascinating!

    Review of: Maui Hands
    Local artists on display
    Earrings, ceramics, oils, fabric art, any medium that comes to mind is found here. A favorite of our is artist Mort Luby and his beautifully crafted oil paintings. We never feel pressured when we come in to check out the new pieces and appreciate having some time to make our own selections.

    Review of: The Shops at Wailea
    A Beautiful and Clean Shopping Center
    This shopping center was clean, had good seating, and a great selection of stores. It was a fun stop just walking distance from our resort. We wanted to go first thing in the morning so we would have time to make it to the beach but most of the stores didn't open until 10 or later.

    Review of: The Outlets of Maui
    Mediocre at best
    Although many stores are the same as you find on the Mainland, the selection (in the past, at least) was much better. Our favorites (Lucky Brands, Banana Republic) used to have such fantastic mark-downs for season-end (December) that we felt like this was as close to "free" as we were going to get.

    Not so this time around. Big disappointment. Selection and prices were very poor. Maybe we just all need to wait a bit for things to recover a little bit more.

    Good market for Tourists
    Great place for souvenirs and art. The was a good selection from inexpensive to hi-end art, wood carvings, and glass.

    Review of: Whalers Village
    Not as nice as The Shops at Wailea.
    Not as high-end as Shops at Wailea but Monkeypod Kitchen is located near the shore so the view is much better. Louis Vuiton is the only high-end store at Whaler’s Village. Shops at Wailea also have Gucci, Tiffany’s and Prada among others.

    Review of: Kihei Farmer's Market
    Great outdoor market.
    We were pleased that a wonderful little market was so close to our condo (we were visitors. They had all the fruits and vegies that we needed to get started. And they had the guacamole!!

    Review of: 4th Friday Kihei
    Worth a visit!
    We thoroughly enjoyed the Kihei Friday market! They had two stages with varying entertainment that turned over regularly so you had plenty to choose from. Fantastic array of food trucks, the pad Thai at the Maui Thai fusion was outstanding! Super fresh, amazing flavors, and a very generous portion! My husband enjoyed a Hawaiian lunch plate from another local vendor, great value and delicious flavors! We were expecting tacky tourist items but instead were met with local fare of all quality. What stood out the most was the friendliness of the vendors, they were happy to give you their background story but never did we feel pressured or pushed to make a purchase. We came away with some lovely original items and would certainly return on our next trip to Maui. Highly recommend as an evening out.

    Review of: Kihei Kalama Village
    Clean but pricey
    I liked Laihana shopping much better but this mall is ok if you dont want to leave Kihei. Prices are high compared to other shops.

    Review of: Maui Mall
    Great Place to Go for Quality Souvenir Name Brand Hawaii T-Shirts and Clothing
    This mall doesn't look great, but it is very functional with an awesome HIC - Hawaiian Island Creations store. This store has exclusive Hawaiian shirts from the following brands - Billabong
    HIC
    Hurley
    Hydro Flask
    Quiksilver
    Rip Curl
    Vans
    Volcom
    Yeti
    They have a giant variety of shirts in all of the popular sizes. The shirts and clothing are great and don't really cost more than you'd find at a souvenir shop, but are much better and are much more likely to be worn again and again. In the back of the store by the cashier there are a lot of Hawaiian stickers worth taking a look at. The mall also features some of the other standard stores and eateries. There is also a TJ Maxx for any cosmetic or travel items that you might need for your travel at a discounted price. This mall's location is excellent - right across from a ship port and in the heart of town.

    Review of: Jordanne Gallery and Studio
    Beautiful Paintings
    We bought a couple of Jordanne's beautiful prints yesterday when we passed through Makawao. She was in the shop working on a painting and we had a chance to chat with her. I was glad to find something special to take home to my family. The way she captures the landscape of Hawaii somehow highlights how I feel when I am here. Do stop by if you are in the area!

    Review of: Yee's Orchard & Fruit Stand
    The Absolute Best!
    The absolute BEST mangoes, outstanding papayas, great pineapples and fine apple bananas. The Golden Glow mangoes are our favorites but they usually have several varieties. We have learned to buy about 7 at a time and put them in the fridge…they ripen beautifully and we can enjoy one a day as we visit Upcountry or Hana, and aren’t near Kihei. This doesn’t work with papayas! Friendly, helpful, kind and fair prices. We look forward to this little stand with great fruit and lovely owners each time we visit.

    Review of: Schaefer International Gallery
    We’ve always enjoyed local work
    The gallery is very lovely! Our favorite is exploring the mediums. Delightful staff and really friendly people. This is a wonderful place to enjoy. Consider buying a special treasure! You will be very pleased.

    One of the very best art glleries anywhere in Hawaii
    We are avid art collectors who have been visiting Hawaii all the Hawaiian Islands for more than fifteen years. We now own a home and live on Maui. Over all of our travels Viewpoints gallery is TREASURE HOUSE of fine art. Wherever you go on Maui if art, or beauty, is your interest the go to Viewpoints Gallery in Makawao.
