Great place to walk or bike along the Boise river
Bike, walk, skate or stroller for miles or only a block or two.
We have been here both winter and summer and have enjoyed it in both seasons.
Very similar, large body of water, second homes abound, signs indicate it's summer water sports & winter skiing.

Coeur d'Alene Lake

Coeur d'Alene
Plane rides, boat rentals, and of course 30 miles to Silver Mountain where you can mountain bike in the summer and have fantastic skiing in the winter.
Besides the usual summer time fun things on and around the lake, there are many different types of sightseeing boat tours, all worth your while.

Perrine Bridge

Twin Falls
There is a very nice hike and you can watch BASE jumpers do their thing here off of the bridge, which is the only bridge in the US that you can BASE jump off of all year round without a permit.
The river and landscape there is superb and worth a stop for sure.

Our 4 girls ages 10 to 14 were engaged and asking questions because the free tour was paced just right to keep their attention.
This is well worth a stop if you’re in the vicinity.
They also have a gift shop on the garden level with some Idaho, State Capitol Building, or Boise inspired items.
