Any one of these is worth the trip .. the grounds are beautiful .. the art is awesome .. lunch was delicious as stated .. and to be able to view and tour an actual FLW 'Usonian' house is priceless.
With free admission, occasional exceptions may apply, interactive stations, peaceful nature trails, and of course, beautiful artwork included in all; you will love this place.
See 1 Experience

Thorncrown Chapel

Eureka Springs
The setting and surroundings are beautiful and the serene and peaceful setting allows for contemplation of Life and Love of God.
Very peaceful and relaxing to stop and see...well worth the trip out to see this chapel if you are in the area.
Great Place for a Wedding or Inspirational Retreat
The architecture is amazing and well worth the visit.
It was an easy hike on the boardwalk and had great views. 2 of our pe6were elderly and waited for us to go to the falls to see if there was any water as it was so hot out.
Easy hike with beautiful scenery

Lake Ouachita

Hot Springs
Clean water and the perfect place to fish!
By far the most beautiful lake in the Hot Springs area.
Limited paddling opportunities due to Covid and low water but great experience nonetheless.
The one I have listed runs from the low-water bridge, Ponca access to Steel Creek.
Enjoyed the shady short easy walk snapped a few pictures and enjoyed watching others take in the beauty.
Walking to the springs is a very easy walk.
I was blown away by his book "Short Nights of the Shadow Catcher" (they have for sale in the gift shop), and this museum, especially with his photographs, is a wonderful tribute to Native Americans.
Admission is free but for the outstanding job she and her staff is doing I will encourage support there efforts to keep running the museum and make a donation.
Full hookups, many pull through sites and with gorgeous views of the lake for most.
This is definitely a trail I will do again maybe in the Spring, but glad I can cross it off my bucket list for a Fall hike.
Pack plenty of water and save for the return trip (which has more uphill climbs).
It is a beautiful high school with reflecting pond in front, and the Visitor Center contains a wealth of information about the integral role that the Little Rock Nine played in the Civil Rights movement after Brow...
Little Rock Central is an important historical site, and I am very thankful that the National Park Service is able to teach this history while co-existing with the still operational high school.
Close to central Arkansas, with lots of fun for all.

The Old Mill

North Little Rock
We were there at sunset in November and there were probably 75 people there, ALL taking photos - couples, babies, families, quincinerias, graduation, everything!
Always like to come here and just walk around.
A great place to go relax and get a bit closer to nature.
Great play areas and really nice rest rooms.
The National Park Service stepped in and beautifully restored the Fordyce Bathhouse to its original state and is now using it as the visitor center and free museum for the National Park.
We had the Buckstaff bath house experience (wonderful) prior to taking this free tour and perhaps doing the tour first might have been better; however, either way both are highly recommended.
On Farmers Market days, though, the Square is a busy jumble of all kinds of people and dogs, with live music and interesting political booths and lots of fresh farm goods.
We stopped to visit the Farmer's Market on Saturday morning--beautiful vegetables and flowers for sale.
Every one of them brings tearful reflections for the brave soldiers who gave our nation the freedom we all enjoy!
Whenever I am in the an area that has a National Cemetery I try and stop and pay my respects to the heroes who payed the price for our Freedom.

Christ of the Ozarks

Eureka Springs
Other activities beside the statue and the play are touring the Holy Land and Tabernacle, browsing the Sacred Arts and Bible museums, as well as eating a buffet dinner and visiting the gift shop.
You are free to wander or just sit & meditate as you see fit, but unless you plan to visit the gift shop or see the Passion Play while here, you will only need just a few minutes here.
Easy hike with beautiful views of the stream, waterfalls, natural bridge and cave at the top.
An easy hike till you get to the cave.
We parked by the lake and it was only about 10 minutes of a fairly easy hike to get to the waterfall.
Great and easy hike!
The gift shop was full of great gifts and things at a decent price I would definitely recommend that you go to mass here what a great experience.
The stained glass windows are wonderful and the church is a nice peaceful place to meditate.

Grand Promenade

Hot Springs
It is a great place to walk without hitting the strenuous hiking trails (which are also great, but more time consuming).
This is a nice walk away from the hustle and bustle of the main street and the bathhouses.
Full hookups, paved campsites that are very generous with space.
This is a great place for a quick easy hike.
You receive one small bundle of wood for each day of the visit, but we also brought wood with us and we needed it.
A bundle of wood is provided each day (included in the cabin fee) but we brought extra wood.

Beaver Lake

Eureka Springs
So very happy that we drove over to the Beaver Lake swim area!!! Clean water and lots of fun!!!! Beautiful scenery to and from Eureka.
Very nice welcome center with free coffee and a wide variety of snacks and souvenirs to buy, very clean with nice picnic areas and walking path around the lake great place to stop for a little rest.
Josh Rogers at Mammoth Spring Welcome Center was super helpful in directing us to different sights (Blanchard Caverns and Grand Gulf, Mo) of interest to our family during our trip.

Big Dam Bridge

Little Rock
Very nice walk and a great path for running or biking too.
A very nice walk on a sunny day
