- Keith PWest Midlands, UK8 contributionsWe visited Budapest Monday to Friday with jet 2 myself and my daughter had a great time lots to see and do, it was a bit more expensive than we thought but still worth going. The spar was expensive all I can say is take a towel and flip flops with you. The food was delicious but watch out for the service charge it can be up to 15% on top of your bill. - VirginiaMahaffeyTulsa, OK1 contributionWe had Alexandria on our first day in Budapest and our day was WONDERFUL!! She stayed with us all day long (8 full hours!) and gave us soooo much info! She knows her history quite well, and that made our tour so much more meaningful!! Personally, I have a greater respect for the Hungarian people because of the history Alexandria shared with us. ( Hungary had its 1,000-year birthday some years ago -- THAT's a lot of history!). Our group of 3 grandmothers had many, many questions -- and out of 50 questions, there was only one she could not answer. So we all agreed to Google it later;). The icing on the cake, however, was the fact that Alex gave us superb advice to help us optimize our shopping/dining experience while in Budapest.... as only another woman could do:). An added blessing was our driver, the beloved Thomas... a most patient man of few words with a kind and gentle smile. We would happily recommend you to ask for Alexandria and her perfect driver Thomas when you book this personal tour. She made a great effort to connnect with us, which made the dining experience very worthwile! - Diane A20 contributionsThis is like no other City Sightseeing bus I’ve used. We always do a bus tour in a new city as it’s a great way to learn about the place. We were glad to get a seat on the upper deck. The crew on the bus didn’t check tickets nor ensure people took headphones - lots of people didn’t know where to get them from. The English commentary is hard to understand so I’m non the wiser about what we saw. Then all of a sudden we were told we needed to get off and change to another bus. I’ve never had to do that before. The next bus we got on had such a low roof that you had to bend double to walk to your seat. Very odd and uncomfortable. The price included a boat trip. We wanted to go on the upper deck as the windows downstairs were so steamed up you could hardly see out of them. But there was no commentary on the deck, so that was pointless. It was lovely and warm in the saloon area and the commentary was good. It’s only in English. Rita our guide was great! Engaging the group with interesting content, which was factual. I liked the way she also wove in her authentic sense of humour where appropriate. The boat was not crowded with lots of room to move around. However this was what I expected under the circumstances and the guide was fantastic.
It's a great way to get your bearings and decide what you would like to revisit. Our guide was very informative and helpful.
They assured tickets to the parliament building when none were available on line..

She helped to solve a problem in a very short time - 3 minutes. The next thank you goes to the crew on a daytime cruise on 1st Dec. 2024 at 11.00 o'clock.

We walked down to the river and booked a tour that was leaving at 11am.It was wonderful..a fantastic way to see the sights and very informative by head phones.A glass of Fizz was also very welcome.Stopped off for 1.5 hours at Margaret island and pedalled around on bikes for a whie which was great fun and then had a light lunch in the hotel before boarding the boat back with a complimentary tea.
