What travellers are saying
- EwaCGLondon, United Kingdom8 contributionsWe have a family there so visit often but it is a museum. Full of sculpture and important Polish personalities. Visiting when it is full of candles on All Souls’ Day is magical. If you like cemeteries, and I do, well worth a visit.Written 3 September 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Kerryman92Dublin, Ireland196 contributionsGreat experience. Huge cemetery, seems to go on forever. So many lives, so much history. Very evocative, I had a wonderful walk around the whole groundsWritten 15 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Robert ORotterdam, The Netherlands3,933 contributionsRoman Catholic cemetery close to Wilanowski palace, but not linked to it. The place is special for those who visit dear ones buried here. For an outsider there is little of interest as far as artistic expression is concerned. Most tombstones are kept sober. Here and there an angel or baroque boy. The chapel at the center is of robust design. Interesting to observe Polish people caring for their dead.
On the right hand side next to the entrance is a space where Catholic fighters against Hitler fascism are laid to rest. Young men among them teenagers who gave their lives for the good cause.Written 8 July 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
