Speculum Alchemiae Museum
#8 of 345 Museums in Prague
I like visiting unusual museums and this one is really unique!!
We had a private tour with a fabulous, enthusiastic tour guide, and the bookshelf moment left us both speechless... a must-see museum!
Convent of St Agnes of Bohemia
#9 of 345 Museums in Prague
This is one of the better art museums around, and gives a fascinating view about the ideas and culture in the Middle Ages.
Because this is part of the National Gallery, an admission ticket also allows you to visit the permanent exhibits at five other museums.

Narodni galerie v Praze

As an art lover I constantly seek Art museums in my travels, I was astounded by the beauty of this particular exhibit- really, in awe of the craft, the detail, the story telling- it is amazing.
Note: If you purchase admission to the permanent collection, it allows you to visit about 6 additional museums in Prague for a whole week.

Chocotopia: Wax museum of legends by Grevin
#16 of 345 Museums in Prague
It’s like a very good wax museum, with very realistic celebrities, and it’s really cool that you can touch exhibits and it’s ok, but it is strictly prohibited in most museums.
... was a young blonde girl that works there that kept on popping on each floor and always very polite and helpfull :) ) Very entertaining and interactive museum with some funny and crazy surprises along the way.

Apple Museum Prague

... and there are interesting stories and facts behind - some of them presented in a great app which you can only use on your smartphone (maybe one of Apple's products...?) when you are connected to the museums wifi.
While the museum is small and can be completely visited within an hour or slightly longer, it provides an excellent overview of the history of Apple, and well-preserved examples of Apple's many hardware devices.

A fun, less stressful afternoon than visiting more stuffy museums!
Brilliant hour long tour explaining the history & production of Czech beer ending with a sit down in the museum bar with four different lagers, such fun, only 280 Czech Koruna (£9), highly recommended.

Kinsky Palace
#36 of 345 Museums in Prague
It houses a small art museum, just enough for a relaxing visit to the world of art and a respite from the busy streets.
You can by a ticket to get into just the museum you want or for a little more you buy a ticket that will get you into all of them (which is what we did).
Gallery of art Prague

I visited all three museums, but my favorite was the Mucha exhibition, which was much better than the Mucha Museum.

Museum of Medieval Torture
#59 of 345 Museums in Prague
It is really small and we went through in 15 minutes as you can see on video :) We paid around £15 for 2 people for 2 museums = Madame Tussauds and Museum of Torture.
Well worth a visit and very affordable, especially with a discount if you also visit the wax museum.

Many museums are overwhelming, overcrowded and exhausting.
The Czech Cubist Museum is small, interesting and dedicates itself to one art form, Czech Cubism.

Workshop is funny easy and quite short (15min) Museum: at the entrance try some tasty truffles.. Individual activity, cca 20-30min alltogether, includes chocolate tasting (5types, unlimited amount).
The chocolate factory also has an incredible chocolate museum which is a must see as once inside you can try the different types of chocolate made by the Czech willy Wonka himself.

Ethnographical museum

I found the workmanship and detail of the costumes quite breathtaking, this museum was a wonderful hidden gem well worth a visit in a beautiful area of the park.
The museum focuses on country and farming, with emphasis on how the year was marked by different festivals and holidays.
