What travellers are saying
- Ben HKaty, TX792 contributionsWe took the early 2 hour train from Sydney so we could make the most of the day , the hop on/off bus wasn’t running so we had to catch the local buses which ran every 30 minutes,
Absolutely stunning scenery with all the main stops along the way ,
Just a beautiful area to spend a day away from the cityWritten 18 January 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews. - Michaela D11 contributionsGreat rides and friendly helpful staff. The walks around the bottom are also great! Wouldn't say it's an all-day event and can get busy after 10 am.Written 30 January 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Ben HKaty, TX792 contributionsThis is one of the main stops when visiting the blue mountains, you can walk down to them from the visitor center or see them from echo point , we did both and definitely enjoyed the views across the mountainsWritten 18 January 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - MonanMattAdelaide, Australia144 contributionsYou can drive and park here and walk the trail between echo Point and the Three sisters for free. you only have to pay to use the Scenic World Cable car, Skyway and Railway, you can walk most of the park without entering the Scenic World areas.Written 7 January 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - EyekaytooLeverkusen, Germany2,622 contributionsWell, I got down the first set of ladders/steep steps, constantly politely waiting for people coming up from somewhere below. They looked exhausted. After edging myself down and seeing so many people returning before getting very far down, I decided to do myself a favour and return to the top. My excuses are that it was a bit slippery, I didn't really have the right walking gear for such a mountain climb and at my age I have better things to do that scale ladders built into steep rock faces.
This is certainly a challenge. Perhaps if I had come better prepared, was patient enough to follow the others also inadequately prepared for such a climb and I was 30 years younger I would have enjoyed this one.
Oh, and they say that the views are nice here. It's difficult to say when you are constantly checking where to place your foot for the next step. But to be fair from the top and at the Lookouts where exhausted walkers like me could recover, the views over the Jamison Valley and the Blue Mountains in general are phenomenal.Written 2 January 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - cpcogWellington, New Zealand1,355 contributionsThere are a lot of lookout in Blue Mountains and Cahill's Lookout is a nice ones. You can walk there if you visit Scenic World on the same day. The walk is not that hard.Written 2 January 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- cpcogWellington, New Zealand1,355 contributionsI reckon it is a must to go to Prince Henry Cliff Walk when you visit Blue Mountains. The walk contains a few trails and you can choose the ones suit your ability, fitness and time. The view of the lookout is stunning in Sydney's standard. It isn't far away from Sydney so it is worth to go there once you want to be away from the city.Written 2 January 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - cpcogWellington, New Zealand1,355 contributionsWe were looking for parking area and found there is parking area near the street for 1 hour. Once taking off, we saw some nice arts on the wall in the quiet side street then. Although I knew there was street art before coming, it was still a surprise to reach there suddenly.
The paintings are incredible in my mind, no matter the ratio, colour, technique... We wonder how the artists did them so well.
it is worth to have a short walk if you visit Katoomba. It won't take much time anyway.Written 2 January 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Our small group were lucky to have the facility to ourselves and able to enjoy the fantastic views without a crowd. Our driver/guide certainly knew the locations of these lesser-known gems.Written 27 December 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - basojomaBrisbane, Australia102 contributionsMake sure you walk down to the cascade and take your camera. You can paddle around with your shoes off at the bottom. - Dan LBunbury, Australia6,948 contributionsI was able to take the short walk down to the Lookout which is situated below Echo Point Lookout. Easy going on the ramp down but not so easy heading back. I think a few of the group, like myself, decided to venture down for a look because of the connection with Queen Elizabeth. Great views and from a slightly different angle.Written 27 December 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Jenny0401Bellarine, Australia628 contributionsIt was a wet & rainy day when we went here. Lovely falls, so mesmerizing. The trek down is not difficult, but it is uneven so take it slow.Written 29 December 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
