The Villarica NP traverse is a trek that crosses the whole Villarica national park from West to East. 5 days in total but it is possible to cover only one section.

Accessible and easily suited to both long and short trips, this park has an almost lunar landscape with the black lava fields contrasting against the snowy peaks.
My older kid decide to forget his runners, so we only did half of a small hike, but we did drive a lot along the park which was done easily as everyone was pleasantly respectful when it came to the narrow areas.

It's a total gem that somehow makes each pool feel private and immersed in nature between the steam and the rocks and trees.
It's like being surrounded by Jurassic Park, and is a great way to relax and refresh, especially mid-way through a trip.

It's a nice place to hang out and relax in the nature, a nice little walk and probably the best view over Temuco.
