Excellent tour, Eric was Fab, I liked that it was a small group (8 of us). Being able to go on private land meant we were the only ones there. I will remember the fur seal pups splashing around in the rock pools for ever.

Paul was our tour guide and did a wonderful job explaining the history, of the area and the Castle and Olveston home. The tour was well paced, fun and informative. I highly recommend it !

You almost feel like you are on a private tour. This was a terrific way to see the castle & the town. A wonderful ride across the bay to the castle, plenty of time to explore on your own without a crowd of people, transfer across the bay again to the town. Everything worked like clockwork, the couple that owns/runs the tour are great. Book this tour, you won’t regret it.

Craig was terrific. Good drivers can make or break any tour. He did a nice job connecting with the entire group despite the language barriers.

Fabulous tour and Russ was a terrific guide. He was very knowledgeable about local history and a great driver. Easy pick up from our cruise ship at the port and a comfortable mini bus for the 6 people we had on the tour. Lots of stories about Dunedin's history, with some told from his unique perspective having grown up and lived there for many years. Weather was a bit drizzly on the day but Russ was well prepared with umbrellas availble for us to use. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Dunedin, I feel it was much better value than our ship's offered shore excursions.

This was a wonderful experience. James, our guide, was incredibly knowledgeable. We saw the tiny blue penguins, of course, but also sea lions and dozens of other birds, including albatross. Being so close to the penguins without feeling like we were negatively impacting them was incredible.

Eat dinner before you go, plan for a late evening (we got dropped off around 10:30), and dress warmly. It’s very well worth it!

Spectacular guide, knowledge galore,up close look at penguins and clicks, and a drive to get to the site that rivals a roller coaster. Great stuff.

Amazing tour, it was the highlight of our NZ trip. The town and area are beautiful, the guide was knowledgeable and fun, we had plenty of time to see the castle, town and other attractions along the way. It was a small group so it almost felt like a private tour. Highly recommending it, especially over generic cruise line tours.

Best value. Scenic, castle was interesting, just enough time to see it all. Take your own food. Lovely cruise to see the albatross colony, penguin tour well worth the add-on very knowledgeable tour guides not much maori history though.

Tour guide is fantastic. Scenery amazing and places of interest are interesting. Vehicle is a mini-bus that fits all passengers comfortably. Great time spent and even though it is not cheap it is well worth it if you only have a day in Dunedin

A great experience and marvellous introduction to Otago Harbour and the resident wildlife, some of which we came into close proximity with. Rachel's knowledge and commentary were excellent and her friendly nature just added to the enjoyment. Highly recommended.

Trii was delightful from beginning to end! She allowed us the choice of picnic or hot lunch and then shared her discount at her local grocery store and offered food recommendations! (Like Whittaker chocolate bars!) She also provided informative and interesting commentary, and was eager to answer questions and share her love of New Zealand. Toward the end, when we wanted to meet up with local friends, she flexed and dropped us off at the train station and returned a bit later, without reducing the quality of the tour for the other passengers. As for the Albatross experience, I had no idea how fascinating these birds are…now, I’m a fan! Thanks, Trii!

Captain Rachel was amazing! She was so knowledgeable about the bay, and knew right where to take us to see some beautiful vistas and wildlife! We encountered a very friendly male sea lion and SO many birds! ( Royal Albatross among them). What fun and super zippy- back and forth in 1.5 hours, plenty of time to enjoy lunch of fresh fish at the port, or to go into town.

    Gregor was fantastic!
He was exceptionally knowledgeable, joyful and full of wonderful facts and stories.
Our tour began at the Larnach family tomb with many stories. We then went to the Dunedin Train Station, what a treasure! Next we went to Baldwin Street, the steepest street in the world. We were given the option to climb. What an experience!
He took us to lunch at a small intimate restaurant with a view of Dunedin.
We finished our tour at Larnach Castle.

Gregor’s descriptions and historical knowledge made the experience exceptional.

Being on a small group tour, we never felt rushed anywhere.

Would highly recommend this tour and Gregor.

Excellent service, everything was on time and has convenient parking. The guide was very informative and we saw the albatross, a little blue penguin in the water and sea lions. Coats and binoculars were provided although I didn’t require either.
