Lunch was fabulous and I was able to pick some fruit up at a local stand. Matt was very informative and gave me lots of tips on what to do and see here. Both excursion (Hobbiton & Waitomo Caves) we're really cool and worth it. The bus ride did get warm but it was a hot day. Water, snacks, and bathroom breaks were all provided which was nice. - Andrew4 contributionsI did not know what to expect with this tour. I was worried it might be aimed at children not adults. However, I could not have been more wrong! The tour was fantastic and would strongly recommend for any film buffs. I particularly enjoyed seeing all the props and prosthetics.
The tour guide, Rachel, was fantastic. - Angela BNew York City, NY302 contributionsSuch a great experience. Booked online for the Hobbiton and Waitomo Glow worm experience and the customer service before arriving was great. Booked about 2 weeks before arrival and was provided instructions for pickup the same day of booking.
Driver details were sent the day before and Warren was amazing. Pickup time was 6:10am and he was already there when I got down at 6am. Quick work picking up the other guests and the time spent with Warren made the trip that much more memorable.
He provided great details of the island and history along with answering our questions. His driving was professional and safe. Seeing I sat in the front next to him, I got full view of everything. This worked great for pictures/videos as the back window are tinted.
Her explained everything clearly when we arrived at the locations and met up promptly upon completion. Recommendations for lunch were excellent and we even stopped on the way back for Tip Top ice cream.

But the highlight was the 5 food and drink tastings at great venues with terrific ambiance and delicious food. Our guide Sarah made it like we were touring Auckland with our best friend. Highly recommend this tour as an introduction to the city if you’re here for the first time.
