What an incredible road trip with Hit The Road Tours and so glad they offer a reverse itinerary to avoid big crowds! Love the fact that we had plenty of time to explore (with lots of photo opportunities) and targeted very important places to see. Also, very lucky to witness 2 koalas in the wild.. it was amazing! We absolutely love the ocean and surrounding natural landscapes, even more beautiful in real life than the photos! Big shout-out to our tour guide, Jimmy -- he was a delight, so knowledgeable and you can really see that he loves his job, also the fact that he tried his best to get to know his passengers; a big thank you to you for being awesome. Highly recommended to anyone who wants to explore The Great Ocean Road! James our tour guide was super friendly and we loved his voice over on the coach journeys. Moonlight Sanctury was a fab experience, beaches beautiful and penguins adorable. - Sania T2 contributionsLoved this tour! Our driver was absolutely hilarious and so friendly. He made it such an enjoyable experience. The wine tastings were delicious, and we got an amazing variety. For the price of the tour, we got to taste far more than I was expecting! The only downside was the limited space in the minibus, which meant it was a bit cramped. - Yuhei N1 contributionWe came from Japan and this was definitely one of the highlights of our trip. Sarah was such an amazing guide. Always making sure everyone was ok and hyping us up during the trip. At one point she started talking to the birds which was one of the highlights for me. It's worth mentioning that if it's already cold in Melbourne, then it's likely freezing in Phillip Island so make sure to wear something warm as you will be sitting watching the penguins by the beach where the cold winds will blow in.
During the Sanctuary tour, a family outside of our tour was feeding the kangaroos bread (and I think it may have been icing on it too...) and our guide told them off. DO NOT feed them anything other than what you are given. I'm not sure why they though that would be a good idea but this behavior made me quite upset too. Good on Sarah for telling them! It’s a long day on the road but an even longer day for our driver and guide, Jacqui, so our kudos to her for staying bubbly, courteous and professional throughout the day. She is knowledgeable, and shared many personal experiences with us. She kept us entertained throughout the long bus rides 👏🏼

The crew was great. It was hard to hear the recorded tour audio, though, when the captain and asst were talking, to each other or on their radio.
