This is a beautiful sandy beach, worthy of a visit, rain or shine. In March, with a fair amount of rain still there - more than in previous years, I was told, the wet season seems to get longer now - it is perfect for a relaxing walk. If the sea is not very rough, there is an area protected from stingers where you can swim. The beach has lots of space and amazing views. Do check it out if you are near Port Douglas.

'Breakfast with the Birds' was a nice brekkie & the bird presentations REALLY good, BUT not as OUTSTANDING as our Private Tour with your "Becca" - she was knowledgeable, had a sense of humour & a lovely enthusiasm & fondness for both the animals & also her role - my 10-year-old Grandson hung on every word PLUS asked lots of questions - a credit to how she made our Grandson feel at ease & eager to learn more. A HUGE but wonderful day - thnx Habitat Team!

Super chill market. Massive array of product and a wide variety of hand made products. Even though the day was warm there were people everywhere. Make it a must for next weekend

This snorkeling day out was simply the best. The clarity of the water and marine life, friendliness and knowledge of the staff, 3 snorkel sites all unique. Best marine photos ever! I will identify that black fish with white spots eventually :D

Good views over Russell township on a sunny day. My partner was delighted to see a Kiwi bird cross in front of him in the early afternoon.

Love Port Douglas, try the flagstaff walking trail, great exercise, quite steep in parts so wear walking shoes :)

Port Douglas has it all .... for those wanting to do nothing or do everything the choice is yours. Just relax and enjoy without breaking the bank. The people are exceptional and the weather gorgeous .... even if it's raining.

During our travels in Australia, we visited many Aboriginal Art galleries. Ngarru was a standout for the way their pieces are displayed, the expertise of their staff, and their prices.
