Went to see Henry Winkler at Sydney town hall . He was fantastic. Beautiful building with lots of original features. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The only thing I would advise you to do is not book a seat on the side of the venue . Make sure you are in the middle section or in the gallery above. For the entire show I had a pole in my view . No mention of a restricted view when I booked the tickets and was charged the same price as seats that did not have a restricted view.

We did the tour of Government House on a Friday at 1.30pm.
It is open on certain days during the week only for the free tours. The tours go at regular times during the day.
The tour took about 45 minutes.
Government House is situated in the lovely Botanical Gardens beside Sydney Harbour so it is a good chance to walk the gardens before or after the house tour.
You enter Government House through gates into it’s own beautiful gardens, you go to the Guard House / office just inside the gates and pick up your ticket, you will need to show some form of photo identification to get a ticket and you have to leaves bags at the office.
You then walk down the driveway to the big entry of the house.
You will be met there by the tour guide who will take you into the house right on tour time .
Our guide was called Con, not sure but maybe he takes all the tours .
He was well spoken-and easy to understand during the tour of the house. He gave a good rundown on the history of the house from the first Governor to the present one .
The house is quite grand as you could imagine, typical of these types of homes everywhere.
Con kept the tour moving at a good pace, photos were allowed.
After the tour we were welcome to look around the gardens by ourselves, very nice, good toilet facilities in the garden area for visitors use.

Vicky was a great guide, so knowledgeable about the history of the GPO’s inception and meaning behind the outside sandstone carvings. Beautiful inside decor and history of GPO.

Visited the state parliament for a viewing of ‘20 Days in Mariupol’. A truely wonderful event in a somber way. The state parliament building comes in the form of the historic building to the front and the attached office block to the rear. Entry was a lot easier than I envisioned, being a security screen and then you’re in. The historic building is a sight to see and should be visited.
