Had a great time! Splurged for vacation and did the 50 minute Kohala coast adventure and got to see a beautiful lush part of the island that you can’t see from the car. Lots of beautiful waterfalls and had an informative pilot. Overall great experience! 😃

Absolutely loved every minute of this trip. The scenery is beautiful and the snorkeling spot was great with clear water, plenty of fish, and best of all no one else in sight! We have kayaked and snorkeled a lot in the past and this is a trip we would do every time we come here now! Highly recommend.

I feel like this is a little over played. I caught 3 aquarium fish. I’d be a little embarrassed if I took a photo of them. The sophisticated fishing technique consists of throwing a bobber with a piece of frozen shrimp. Gear consists of the cheapest longs drugs/KTA tackle section variety (one rod still had the zip tie on thr handle. The secret spot is the boat launch- since everywhere was blown out with wind. The first hour was just casting once, snagging, then re-tying everything since I’d fling a cast and the knots would come undone and lose the rig, or snag and break. It wasn’t my casting as the breaking spot was a pig tail where the connection was on the braided line (and I wasn’t tying the knots) they didn’t have backup bobbers since losing one has never happened before?). The backup reel was badly backlashed (not my doing) . I was advised if i really want good shore fishing I’d need a 4wd as the best spots were elsewhere. If you’ve never fished before & not experienced it might be ok for you.

Volcano Adventure from Kona-April 2023. Chang picked us up in a 12 person van at our condo in Kona. He was very knowledgeable about the vegetation, wildlife, volcanoes and taught us while we drove. We stopped at different lava fields, the southern most bakery in the US for lunch, the black sand beach (sea turtles!), steam vents and the lava tube at the volcano National park, Hilo candy store, and Rainbow falls. Chang drove us back to our condo on the beautiful Saddle Road. Despite some rain, it was an amazing 10 hour day!

This private tour is highly recommended! Since the Kilauea volcano was active while we were there - the tour guide "Rebecca" contacted us the day before - to see if we wanted to get started later so that we could see the volcano at night. It was a wonderful suggestion! Rebecca picked us up from our hotel and immediately gave the kids a microphone so that they could do some karaoke as we got underway. They loved it! Rebecca was fully accommodating of our two boys and what they wanted to do and what would be fun for them. During the drive she played a podcast with some island history and with some island stories. There were a few things we couldn't squeeze in - there was so much to do! - but she provided us with details and even a contact so that we could return to see what we missed (which we did). Rather than to shuffle on and off of a tour bus - a private tour by way of a private car is the way to go. Highly recommended way to see the Big Island!

This small group tour allowed us to visit some of the island’s highlights in one day with an outstanding, knowledgeable guide in the comfort of a lovely Mercedes’ van. The views of Rainbow and Akaka falls, Valley of the Kings, and volcanoes were fantastic. We will return to our favourite places on our own.

Our guide was Derek Stuart. He was friendly, entertaining, engaging, accommodating, and extremely knowledgeable about all things Hawaii. He answered all questions and was curious about the people he was guiding. An all-around
nice human to spend the day with! He also made recommendations for other tours and activities.

We’re so glad we did this tour. It’s a long day but we’ll paced with many rests between stops. The lunch and snacks were great. The tour was worth the price and we’d recommend it.

Our family - 2 kids and 2 teens - had an amazing day with David! He was so knowledgeable and knew the park so well. We are an active family and were able to do a ton of walks/short hikes. The park is simply unbelievable and David really connected us with the history and geology. We felt like we saw so much. Very well taken care of - great lunch, plenty of drinks and snacks. We had a warm, sunny day but there were jackets, etc. in case. Couldn’t recommend more.

Ultimate Circle Island Explorer our tour/driver guide Tori was excellent! Very informative. Took us off the beaten track to see different waterfalls. Right on with our meals. And very sweet, accommodating with our needs.

Awesome private tour. Got to experience the ancient grounds of Kamehameha, waterfalls of all kinds, black sand beaches, and appreciate the overall beauty of the Big Island. Even though going into Waipio Valley isn’t allowed anymore to tourists we were able to get photos at the overlook. We also stopped at a farmers market in Hilo where I bought a shell lei and some fresh fruit for the hotel room. Stopped for a malasada as well.
