Donot rely on Google unless you want to get lost! Has an airstip of WW2 vintage for the aviation history enthusiasts. A watchtower is a at hand for a view. Do take time to visit the Royal well to satisfy the adventurer in you. Good picnic spot but you need to carry your essentials.

We visited the Biharinath Temple from Durgapur, took us close to 1 hr 45 mins to reach the place. There is a temple complex at the foothills. There are some hotels also nearby, where you can stay. Biharinath Eco Tourism is a big resort that has come up nearby. Good place to visit if you want to enjoy some quiet time.

Sri Sri Matri Mandir is situated at Joyrambati, Bankura. This holy place is maintained very beautifully. There are prayers and aratis scheduled from morning to evening accompanied by three rounds of prasad. The atmosphere of the place is very good. Accommodations are also available inside the Math Complex. But, bookings should be done in advance. Night stays add to an another level of experience...

The trip was a bit long journey but it was worth what I saw. A gorgeous and enormous palace that housed numerous curious. I gaped with amazement at the long and heavy silver swords displayed.

I did not notice that photography was strictly prohibited inside by orders of the Archaeological Survey of India. The front side of the temple had carvings from scenes of the Puranas and Vedas. There was no altar inside.

This place is very near to the Sri Sri Matri Mandir at Joyrambati. One should visit this place while coming to Joyrambati. There is a pond where Maa Sarada used to take her daily bath. The place has a beautifully maintained garden with temples. The atmosphere of this holy place is quiet and peaceful.

The temple was worth-watching, especially the scenic beauty around the temple, the chirping of birds and apes.

This is just an ordinary temple with nothing much to see except for offering prayers to Lord Kali. I felt it was a waste of time for me visiting this temple.

Ramakrishna Paramhanshadev's wife's paternal aunt's house was located at this place and hence his disciples and many other people had assembled at the spot to offer prayers.
