This temple is just 30km away from Guntur in Andhra Pradesh. The temple is on the main road and all buses that goes to bapatla from Guntur stop at this place. This is one of five bhavanarayana temples(Ponnur, bapatla,Sarpavaram, pattiseema, bhava devarapalli) .Here Lord vishnu worshipped as bhavanarayana and there is a separate temple for goddess lakshmi and hanuman. This temple had very nice story on why god is called sakshi bhavanarayana.Sakshi in telugu means witness.Once there used to brahmin who lives in this place with his wife and her brother. These three once went to varanasi and there after having the darshan of God he promised his brother in law that he will get him married if he is blessed with a girl in the presence of Lord vishnu. After that they came back to their village and blessed with baby girl. When she attained the marriage age he is searching for the groom and forgot his promise he did to his brother in law.His brother in law came to him and remained him about the promised he did to him but the brahmin did not agree to his words and insulted him saying that noone will believe your words that i promise his as there is no witness for this. Then brother in law went to varanasi and requested Lord vishnu to give witness.Lord vishnu agreed and came to his village and gave the witness that brahmin gave the word to his brother in law,
You can read this story on the board in the temple

This temple is at around 1 km from the old bus stand. We can go by a walk to reach this temple. This temple seems to be maintained very well. This temple seems to be built in ancient times as we can see nice gopurams and beautiful pillared hall.We can read the temple story on the sign board in the temple premises.
Just behind the temple we can get nice tasty and hot breakfast like idli, vada, bonda, dosa and poori for reasonable price.

The interiors of the museum were wonderful, making it seem like a palace. The curios consisted of ancient Jain scriptures, manuscripts, belongings of the Jain Tirthankaras and King Harshavardhana.
